Favorite brand for ski jackets?

I'm looking to get a new shell this season since I've been wearing the same jacket for a long time and want to switch it up. I'm interested in buying from some more independent companies, but wondering what brands everyone has been into lately.

I recently found some awesome mittens from a brand I hadn't heard of before (SalmonArms) and am wondering what else I'm missing out on! I don't want to just get another plain colored Volcom jacket, not that Volcom isn't nice.

A lot of park skiers like harlaut a lot, sovyrn makes some good shit except it’s kinda expensive and you have to wait for drops. You can also go to a thrift store and find some heat there

This was exactly what I was looking for. Never heard of Strafe or Trew before, they've got great stuff tho def a bit expensive

Strafe and trew and flylow are nice

I'd recommend the planks woodsy jacket. I use it on colder days and it's really nice, looks good, lots of storage space, only drawback is that it isn't the warmest jacket in the world, but apart from that no complaints at all.

Yeah i'm actually leaning towards getting a jacket from Planks, decent price and really nice. Thanks for the suggestion!

I got an older faction jacket from a ski swap that's dope. Checkout ski swaps or FB groups & thrift stores. You can find sweet quality stuff for cheap and it's sustainable

I can't bump Trew enough. I got the powfunk a couple years ago and it's my favorite jacket I've owned. Great customer service too; I went back and forth with them with some sizing questions. They have some of last year's jackets here for half price: https://trewgear.com/collections/mens-outlet

That's how I bought mine. Investing in a good jacket is worth it imo. Whether or not you're comfortable/dry/the right temperature can sometimes make or break a day

Love my Flylow gear, they are having a good sale on their site right now too. I snagged some bibbs early summer for 50% off.

I’ve got the woodsy pants and I really like them. In the interest of full transparency, I got them for free but I do really like them. They are well made.
