I've seen Ender's Game mentioned a lot. If you guys like sci-fi, read Hyperion by Dan Simmons. Seriously the CRAZIEST book I have ever read.

I just finished fast food nation, by eric schlosser the other week and though it isn't one of my favorites, it was definitely one of the most rewarding reads. Turned me off to fasat food though, so be warned. Also my favorite is breakfast of champions by vonnegut
