Favorite Beer

Pete's wicked strawberry blonde in the summer...

Keystone light if I just wanna drink all day... (it's got the special liner that get you "keystoned")

Rolling rock right before ski season

Colorado's Fat tire while tuning my skis....

and Southern Tier I.P.A. all winter baby.

I think its great that people are choosing craft brews.

American light lagers are just the norm because people have become complacent about beer post prohibition.

Not

that diet macro beers don't have their place but they are mostly

shitty, even the "premium" ones. they are shadows of a real Czech or

German pilsners.

That is only one style of beer, there are

many more out there. I am not a beer snob, Ill drink anything but I am

a beer enthusiast and get stoked that people are getting into locally

made brews...and for the record I do know thing or 2 about about beer.

yeah, I dont date people without taste, and i would define white trash as whities without taste

so i dont think thats stereotyping

haha, so with your logic, someone who drinks a light domestic, is someone who has no taste, and someone who has no taste is white trash...

Magic Hat #9 or Killians Irish Red im a college student so im used to drinking keystone and natty light/busch haha

This post just reeks of lack of even basic beer knowledge.

Do you also think people whose favorite restaurant isn't McDonald's are just trying to impress people?

You should try the "Funkhouse" Ale by Ommegang called Ommegedon (if you havnt alredy.) !

great stuff, a bit pricey however; Worth it.

++karma for good taste

No. It wasn't about that, it was about the fact that most of the people on this site are young. I didn't realize that teenagers had the luxury of trying a wide variety of microbrews, enough that they could pick their favorite one. That lead me to believe that they were just naming the only/fanciest microbrew they had tried.

but i said i didnt want to get into it. if you'll look above, i said I wish I had never said anything. I really don't want to get into a beer argument on NS, quite frankly it would make me feel like the biggest loser ever.

You don't have to have tried a ton of beers to pick your favorite. If you've had two different beers, the one you prefer is your favorite. So yeah, maybe some people just named the "only/fanciest microbrew they had tried" but more than likely that's also their favorite, especially if the only others they've drank have been watery American pseudo-kolsch shit.

true that man, back in high school/beginning of college the only non-watery american beer I had extensively had was sierra nevada, and I loved it. granted its not a microbrew, but fast forward 3 years and many different beers down the hatch, and i still love it as one of my favorite beers.

I don't think I've had any microbrews, the closest i've had is dogfish head which is a maryland brewery but def pretty widespread. in any case, I tend to stick to supermarket beers cause they are readily available wherever you are. also sometimes I think good beer is good beer. if a big brewery makes a beer you love, that's good. a good ipa is a good ipa, unless it's got some special spices/fruit it's not gonna be a hell of a lot different than another good IPA.

man beer is awesome

ahhh Corona, it's a good 2nd after Desperado's But if I'm going to be honest Since I live in Somerset UK I'd rather have a good cider any day.

Thatchers cox

Kopparberg pear

hoegaarden is pretty good, it has a high alcohol content too.

Has anyone been to the tap house? I know for most in washington it's old news, but it has 160 beers on tap.

word

I really like Fat Squirrel too.. Midwesterners should know that one

and anything from Belgium if I want to sip.

But when I feel like downing.. I'm a Coors man.

Brauers in Fremont has about 60 on tap, including some of the best Belgians ever, and about, oh, 400 on bottle. Their drink menu is 6 pages, single spaced 10 pt font. The guy who owns it also owns Bottleworks, and has much of the same selection... check out their beer list:

well im usually on a really tight budget but if im not just trying to get the most bang for my buck (eg. Black Label Supreme) i would say my favourite tasting beer would either be pacific pilsner or stella artois. and feel free to call me a pussy but corona in the sun is tasty as hell.

Anything from this brewery is something I love

also have any of you tried teh new Budweiser American Ale? I personally think it is a sad attempt at a micro brewery style beer made by a mass production company, I'm not a fan.
