Post your favorite AM skier. Some ground rules first. 1. NO HATING PERIOD. 2. POST PURE STOKE.

Mine? I'd have to say that it's between Jeff kiesel or Gaute Silseth. I remember watching Jeff in slamina last year and thinking damn. Kid has so much fun. And four Gaute. Seriously, the kids really fuckig good. Saw him in shoot me and was like "da fuck? This guy is not pro?"

Anyway what are your thoughts? Remember the ground rules...
 
Yeah Gaute was killing it last season, and surely will be this year! you should check out his and Espens part in Stuck in the eighties,they blew up so much this season.

Actually they just arrived CO last night i think, so there will probably be even more bangers in the next Chaoz and Happypro movie.

My favorite AMs is based on who i think is exciting to follow, and obviously its easier to follow Gaute and Espens (Bergh) carriers as i go to the same school as them, is in the same atheletes course as them and ski the same hill as them.

 
Couldn't the same thing be said about them though? A full page ad with Electric and shots in Refresh.

one shot is a lot different then having a segment...I wouldn't technically classify them as pros yet although they may ski at a pro level.
BP is a great call though.
 
zach davidsonhis seggies in war! and booter crunk are both some of my favorites. kind of dropped off since then, i think hes getting doing the whole college degree thing
 
Good point. So a question to everyone. What defines someone as Pro or AM? In skateboarding its a very hard to tell other than pro model boards etc. In skiing its pretty different since there isn't a lot of pro model skis.

Powis and Seany J but i don't think either are really considered am anymore. they're both so sick.

brogan holds it down for me. his style is sooo finesse
 
so many AM skiers out there deserve more props. torvinen, jordan, vila, kiesel all these guys are so dope but the list just goes on and on.

My boy Pete. And yes, he can spin over 7 he just realllllllllly loves doing 5s.

But there are so many who slay and I love to watch people have named already.
 
im 90% sure he is pro. hes got a full sponsorship by salmon and has been winning comps since he was twelve.
 
Definition of pro skier --> A skier who can live of skiing (gets enough monayyy)

I'd say sweden/norway provides us with the best am skiers. Can't really say who is the best though....
 
That's sick. Shoot me def my favorite ameture ski movie this year. So many riders absolutely killing it, it was rediculous. Jens g.(not even going to attempt to spell that) was so sick too. I'm actually listening to the song that was in gaute and lasse's part right now. Mammas gata was so banger.

Jameson irvine is def not pro since I've only seen him do 7 and 9 in real word and wud up.
 
I think to be considered a professional skier you need to be making something over the poverty level. Over 11,000 a year, and that still is a salary that a fast food employee would laugh at. Tight budget to live when you need to pay rent, food, insurance, bills, medical costs ect...
