Every July 1st I say 'I wish they had booked OLP or The Hip for this years celebrations.' I am a little curious to know who you would book for your own Canada Day celebrations if you could get any Canadian music artist you wanted.

I dunno if they ARE canadian, but Econoline Crush gets radio in So. Ontario, and not US, so I'd say them. Big Sugar, Big Wreck, Wide Mouth Mason, The Headstones, and if we could get them together, matthew Good Band, they are cool live.

Fuck nickelback. they blow duck-ass. You could kill them, and another band would take over singing the same song, and you'd never notice they were dead.

Steve, good call on Big Wreck. They're the only band I've seen live at a concert (well copywrite opened for them, but they sucked ass). I don't know much about concerts, but I'm assuming that a triple encore is a good thing. Haha they were every bit as awsome as I was expecting.

I saw treble charger once in the basement of a library in owen sound... that was a LONG time ago. like 7 years ago or something... maybe longer... I don't know.

I saw Treble Charger last summer at canadas Wonderland when them and Sloan opened up for Matthew Good Band. They played pretty good.

Haven't heard latest album, but my broter has one from prob about 3 years ago, its awesome. the one with surefire, and Sparkle and Shine. I love that CD.

What the fuck is this Sloan and Nickel Back Shit you losers. They are gay along with SUM $! and soooo many other canadian bands. Not just raggin on canada though we have the states to blame for poppy as shit like B4-4 and 98*. Best Canadian bands are Guilt Trip, Darryl's Grocery Bag, Belvedere, Treble Charger, Deville, and then the west coast rap outta Vancouver. Swollen Memebrs are sick, but they are gettin really played out. KID KOALA for sure. and they is so much underground shit goin on down there, its super tight.

 
nickelback puts on a good show even though they arn't the best band. but um, yea - grade and off the mark...

Most of those bands are pretty good. I've seen nickelback and treble charger live. but the best live canadian show I've seen would be wide mouth mason and colin james last year on canada day. awsome. saw them for free and they were amazing.

yeah i don't know anythign about the toronto scene but no warnings played around boston a few times and their 7' is pretty solid.

to the guy who said sloan and nickelback are gay and blahblahblah.....and then goes and pumps up treble charger. i'm not one to criticize ones choice in music but are you for fucking real!?! sloan and nickelback may be mainstream sort of pop rock or whatever but treble charger is the king of adult contemporary radio stations. right up there with alanis morrisette (sp.?) and celine dion.

yaa, i was kinda thinking the same thing. buddy disses sum 41 and that tripe, and then goes on to say that he is for trebel charger and swollen members. i'm not defending sum 41, but merely pointing out that all those bands are kinda in the same 'posse'.. and just for the record, i really AM sick of swollen members
