Fat skis and gondolas

Yo, I am dumb.

I got some seth vicious' that I am psyched on.

I am wondering, though, what do you do with them on gondolas that don't have ski holders that are big enough, does the snowboard holder thing work? Will my beautiful skis fall to their death? Will I cry?

Probably a very dumb question, but whatever, just wondering.

are they not wide enough?? if they are you can seperate them. otherwise take them in, or just ask the gondola operators if you are worried

MOst twins dont work great in gondales.. with an average twin u can put on ski in a two ski holder, i also believe i have put them in the snowboard holder, this is all at the Killy gondala.. i always get nervous when it comes to puting my skis on the outside my word of advice is if its not crowded just bring them inside with you

i was so nervous the first few times with my twins cause im not used to gonodlas and i feared that i wouldnt get them in in time or they'd get stuck at the top.

if you are in a tram, you have to hold on to them anyways, but in a gondola, you can just take them with you if you are sketched. mine fit if i put them in individually.

my 181s mt's were too long to take them on the gondola's comfortably at killy, i just seperated them and put them into the ski slot individually, but i dunno waht you'r gonna go other than squeeze them in there, make sure you dont' get a packed gondola or that will for sure suck

i had issues with my MSPs last year. too wide to fit inside the slots and too long to bring inside the gondola if there were more than 4 of us in there. when there were 4 of my ground and 2 other snowboarders, then i couldnt even use the snowboard slots. that was a crowded gondola for sure.

I have scratch BC's that I have used in a few different gondolas. The more enlightned hills are putting in carriers that are big enough for them - sometimes you have to separate them and "nest" the tails toghether - base to topsheet. That can work. Or one ski per holder. The snowboard holders have always worked fine as well.

What I would do if none of this works - go to the Guest Services Desk and ask to fill out a comment card and write your complaint down. At any of the Intrawest resorts - and likely all the other resorts - those get read by senior management. Explain the situation. If they hear enough complaints, they will do something about it when they can.

Sometimes you can seperate them and put them in the same slot with both of them facing out. If that doesnt fit, and i had pistols, then just throw into the snowboard slot. Its no biggie unless there is a wind like over 20.
