Fat park skis

Hello NSers, I've been wanting a pair of fat park skis and can't really decide what a good ski would be. I found two (line blend and surface watchlife) but looking for a little over 100 underfoot with rocker.

+k for opinions and/or other brands f skis

you dont want your skis too fat because that will just make them pow skis...but off the top of my head, i think that k2's are pretty fat in general. other than that i wouldnt go any wider than k2's

I use my Ninthward RDS's in the park all the time 113mm underfoot. Prefer them over my park skis tbh..

Got a pair of k2 Iron maidens this year to try stop using them... But honestly think i'll sell the k2s... my 9ths just slay everywhere.

I ride my 113m Jeffreys in the park and all last year I skied on 120m surface live lifes and I wouldn't have it any other way. Once you go fat, you don't go back.

This. I had Blends the last couple years as my only pair and they slay everything. If you are looking for one ski to do it all, that would be it. I have also heard a lot of good things about the ON3P Jeffery

I already have like anthems and there 93 underfoot, I just want a little but fatter and rocker so I can ride some pow in them

+1 for the PB&Js, those are my park skis cause I like the width plus Moment made them magically as light or lighter than normal park skis. And they carve rails switch

I take my Jeffreys in the park every once in a while which are 108 underfoot. They are loads of fun and the rocker makes them pretty buttery. The downside is that rails take some getting used to. my 186 Jeffreys that are 108 under foot are definitely a lot more to swing around than my domains, but after a couple hours you adjust to it. Once I'm warmed up on my them I can do most of the rail tricks that I can do on my domains.

If you want wide park skis because you want wide pow skis thats cool, but if you want one ski to use for both just buy two seperate ones its not worth ruining an expensive pair of pow sticks.

don't listen to this guy. you aren't going to "ruin" a pair of powder skis in the park. not to mention that an ~100-110 waisted ski, is not a "pow" ski these days. it'll do just great in deep snow, but its by no means a powder ski.

as said earlier, once you go fat, you never go back.

go for the blends.

my opinion is the best opinion, so listen..

If you just want a park ski, but a little wider, i wouldnt go over 100 waist, the blend, kung fujas or fat-ypus el toro is about the widest normal camber park ski id get. (i know these all have "rocker" but like 2mm of tip/tail rise is hardly a rockered ski, it still skis like a normal cambered ski but is a little less catchy)

if you are going to go wide, get something with big rocker, I bought bacons last year thinking they could be my one ski, skiied them in the park maybe 5 days and said fuck that. the wide tips/long length just makes them akward and get in the way, on rails and everything, its like you always have to be thinking about keeping your tips out of the way, it doesnt have the surfey rockered ski feel at all. again it just feels like a very large park ski, IMO its not fun.

ive skiied ep pro's, hellbents, and one lifes in the park, and all of them are wider, have tons of rocker, and were way more fun. the rocker basically gets rid of that akward tips catching on rails thing. makes them much more nimble for their size, i was doing 60 footers on ep's and their insanely soft flex and big rocker wasnt a big deal. having a flat underfoot, rocker tip and tail ski actually transforms how you can ski park. having a wide ass park ski doesnt, it just means you have a very large in the way park ski.

the thing with rocker and flat underfoot is, when you are just initiating a turn, or pivoting, the ski rotates and carves extremely easy, as you lean the ski over, you get more and more edge contact and you have more and more edge contact and your skis hook up really well and you can make super hard arching carves. that combined with the awesome kind of pop you get, the crazy butters, etc.. it makes it feel like your actually surfing the park. i learned switch 7's and 270's onto handrails on hellbents, rodeo's on my ep's. and felt too sketched out to do 270's onto handrails on my bacons if that tells you anything...

so sparknotes, dont get some lame super performance dual camber ski (only one id reccomend is the one life cause it still has big rocker) go with flat underfoot, and or big rocker.

and if you dont wanna go that wide, check out the one time. im trying to find a reason to get them this year.

I agree. Selling my Fat-ypus L-Toros for $400 if anyone is interested. Super fun in the park! Only have two days on them. I miss my g-butters so I'm buying another pair of those

I would like to try icelantic nomad sfts. I skied them a few days, but no park, but they felt great for jumping around. Obviously not as light as my skinny chronics, but still, the fatness was nice. Definitely want to try the new chronics.

i dont think that park skis should really be over 100 under foot it is just harder to throw around and have fun on in the park. the only ones over 100 that i skied that were fun were the kung- fuges but those skis are so fun very where.
