Fat park skis

i ski 70 percent park and 30 percent jumping off rocks/glades/pow. i got fujas now but they are pretty flimsy for deep heavy pow and shit. i need a ski about 174 or 175, throw me some suggestions

I've ridden my arv's about 20 days so far this year and they have yet to let me down. They're 95 underfoot and pretty soft. I have tm's for park but i rarely ever ride them. I've never had the arv's on rails though.

as your lawyer i advise you to buy a pair of arv's

they are actually closer to 182-3, k2 does weird sizing. if i went for the 169 id outgrow them very soon, but i dont think id ever grow into 179's

arvs are beautiful, but i've never had them on a rail or a box. i love em everywhere tho, booters, cliffs, pow, glades, groomers, etc etc.

what about sprayer bcs? theyre not complete fat skis but they are good all mountain and in powder. i know a guy who has them and he loves them all over the mountain.

agreed. I almost feel like my trouble makers were a waste of money. I've been out 25+/- days this year and 22 of them have been on arv's.

how are ARV's on rails? i was thinking of getting some ARV's. i ski alot of woods and pow, some groomers sometimes, and im getting into freestyle a little bit so im wondering how they are on rails. i can imagine theyre good on jumps cause they have a stable underfoot. but yeha i like pow drops and popping in and out of the deep stuff.

how can skis be good at rails? i dont understand it? like are you asking if they are durable enough to handle rails or do they perform well on rails?

i think he means durable, but then again mabye proformance cuz if they are too wide you will do so slow

you got what i meant. sorry for not being specific enough but yes i was wondering abut the durability of the edges and how the width of the ARV's handle on rails stability wise and if they are too wide, as as to go too slow like ^ he said.

I would just get the seths if I were you. People don't seem to realize that the difference in skis sizes, like in this case according to you they are like 7 cm bigger than you're ideal ski, is quite small, especially once distrubted to the tip and tail, so really either end is only like 3 cm longer than you are looking for and if you wanna ski pow that isn't gonna hurt you any. don't get so caught up in sizing as long as they aren't too short and you know how to ski it wont be an issue.

i dont think so, well PE's and fujatives are not. i measured them to be exactly as they say, 179cm
