Fastest you've written an essay?

Just woke up at 9 this morning to write a 4-5 page paper for my english class at 11:30, finished a few minutes ago, took an hour and 45 to write me a 4 page research paper, no prior research done, got 4 sources.

My question to you is, whats the fastest you've ever written a big paper?
 
i can't do that ever. i have to plan all my shit out well in advance. i used to be able to do it in high school, but not in college.
 
i used to write papers for profit, sold them to half of the college football team.
 
do you still do that? i need a 10pg paper by tomorrow. It has to be in norwegian though, but that shouldn't matter.
 
I didn't but someone did this:

Did a 4 page research paper in an hour and a half the other day, got it back with a score of 148/150 and a comment of "Well developed with a clear understanding of the assignment." I was pleased.
 
For my final english class in college, I showed up to the last class to find everyone with papers in their hands, waiting for the teacher.

Idiotically, I said "Man you guys are organized I can't believe you're all giving the paper in a week early!".

55 Seconds later I was in my car powering home at 165km/h.

Wrote the paper equally as fast.

Made it back before the 2 hour class was over, with a stapled copy of the 5 page report.

Got in the A+ range too...absolutely mental.
 
If high school counts... half an hour for 4 pages.

Wikipedia + copy n paste + change into my own words + make up sources = win.
 
I can't get myself to not spend time on a paper. It just doesn't make sense when most of what I write goes into a portfolio.
I wrote a 12 page paper on forensic toxicology in around 10 hours..... I thought that was pretty fast, but it was really really good. Got an A and the professor kept it as a sample.
Usually I try to figure an hour and a half per page if its a research paper.
 
i wrote a 14 page paper about tidal flats in one night (4h work max....)I study geology @ college and scored a 16/20, highest score on the research paper in my whole year !I ROCK ! :D
 
I busted out a 10 pager for an 3rd block science class during time between classes and during lunch. and that was in the days before wikipedia
 
I wrote a 16 pg grad paper on Ethics in Managerial Accounting in about 8 hours...the day that it was due. I can procrastinate like a mother fucker.
 
god last year i used to crank out english papers in 2 hours or less and get mostly As and Bs. the one fucker i actually plan out....i get a c....shows where time and effort gets you.
 
For Ap Lit, we have to do practice Ap in class essays, I've written 3 x 1.5 page papers in 1 hour each. guess that's probably the fastest. I always get hand writing complaints. I like it a lot more when i can type them. I think i type faster/at least as fast as a write.
 
Fastest, likely in class essays where we have 50 min to write 2 papers. Usually get 2000 - 2500 words for those exams.

The longest paper I have written, in the shortest period of time, would likely be something in the 15 page, sourced, edited etc in 5 hours range. I'm an English/History major, papers are kinda my thing.

3 pg english satire news article- 30 mins- 92

2 pg reflection on time spent in nature which i completely made up- 20 mins- 92

im much slower with analytical writing but creative shit i can do so fast and my teacher loves it
 
impressive as fuck.

mine was last year my buddy and i had a joint research paper due in a class that was basically the only grade in the class, and we totally forgot. i was in bed high as fuck at like 6 in the morning when he called me and told me the paper was due at 10 am. so we went to the library and each did ten pages of intense research paper in like 3 hours. not bad, and we got an A
 
Just did 2 pages in 45 minutes- but my best would have to be a 5 page anlysis of john edwards in about 2 hours- printing an leaving to go to class right when I finished
 
Because this thread was fun, and cause there were some pretty crazy responses, bump.

Also, just wrote a 5 page paper in a little under an hour. Yes!
 
i did 5 pages of a 9 page research essay for my current issues class the night before from 11:00 pm till 1:45 am. i thought it was pretty impressive
 
This past tuesday I did a take-home exam in about 11 hours, it was 7500 words. That was pretty solid.
 
if totally true, you are awesome.

i usually write papers slowly. unless they don't matter much then i just type and can do them pretty fast. mostly depends on what i am writing about...
 
3 page reflection on "The decade from hell" in around 15 minutes. I got a 100% and was stoked as hell for a week.
 
8 page critical book analysis on a 400pg book i didn't read. Took four hours to write. Got and A. Felt pretty good, especially when i saw that kids who actually read it got Cs lol
 
Printing my 5k word take home final exam / paper for Management. Took me i would say a solid 5-6 hours of work. (over the last few days)

My professor said he probably wouldnt even read my final because i did so well on the last paper.

then he said, JK. (but i did get 100% on the last paper:)
