got pulled over 110 in a 65 cop lowerd the ticket to 90 ended up payin $800 in fines and fees after court and 24hrs community service and 16hrs driving school
Going fast in a piece of shit civic with tires as thin as a bicycle's is.
How many times have you seen a piece of ass civic folded up in a tree. Now how many times have you seen a Ferrari 360 or a Porsche 911 in a tree. Unless it was driven by a female or a moron, probably zero. Crappy car + crappy driver = we all have to drive at stupidly low speed limits because of a few jackasses who can't handle piloting a machine.
It happens, but the point is people try to drive economy cars like they're sporting cars with too little skill and definetly not enough of the right equipment. Proper cars are perfectly safe to operate at high speeds on the highway (of course not on local routes where theres children and whatnot). Look no further than Germany...
Seriously time and time again we see it comes out on top in every major study. That's what happens when you have a REAL driving exam, and look at TUV certification... No car in germany can be sold without tires that can sustain 100mph. Even a crappy VW golf is perfectly fine cruising at 110 on the autobahn, and less accidents! I may be harsh and crass but I'm not compeltely devoid of sanity, there's some logic to my arguments in rare instances.
well, for the sake of argument cause i have nothing better to do...
less accidents because of less traffic. and the autobahn is built 20 times better than anything america has. its like 2 feet thick concrete wiht virtually no imperfections. shit is monitored 24/7
they had a program on the history channel about it. the autobahn is seriously crazy. its not just a road, its a system. they have warning lights and message boards, emergency phones, closed circuit tv. special markings on the roads. strategically placed sweeping turns and alternating color lines to keep you awake and alert. its a dream road.
Yeah I did european delivery on an RS4 there... had it for 2 weeks to romp around on, even got a lap in on the nurburgring. All the turns are perfectly banked and cambered, it's nuts.
If I get another ticket before July 7th, I get massive amounts of fines. So in the past year I've probably driven a max of about 8 mph over the speed limit.
