Fastest you have gone over a speed limit

Got busted racing a vette when I was 17. Caught going 80 is a 35 around a turn...

Things I have learned since then:

1) speeding is stupid and dangerous go to a track to go fast you asshats

2) Being good friends with a kid whos dad is a cop will keep you out of jail, let you keep your license, give you no points and only a parking ticket for something as stupid as that.

btw they never caught the vette because he pieced and was clocked going 125.
 
How many people are there that own Civics compared to how many people own Porsche 911s? How many of those civic owners are 20 year old kids who think because they have a 3" can means they can take corners at 100?

I don't agree with a lot of the car guys around here whether it be wiki, tronned, Ar6, charmander or various other members...but just because I disagree with them doesnt mean I don't respect their opinion because they have proven time and time again that they are knowledgeable about autos.

my speedometer maxes out at 180km/h so im thinking aorund 190- 200 in on a 90km/h highway. but i took a hell of a long time in my car, iv been in my buddies cars that are much faster on the same road not sure if that counts but definatly over 200 .
 
I typed that wrong. Meant to say I've never seen a Ferrari 360 in person, and I've seen one Porsche 911, which is owned by a teacher at my school.

110 in a 35 (was stupid and I feel like an asshole/idiot for doing it)

120~ in a 40 (pegged speedo and wasn't watching tach so unsure of speed)

145~ in 60-70 zones (done this quite a few times, redlined in 5th, was probably faster the first time I did it on I-90 because I had a different diff. in the car and that gave the car a bit longer gearing) I definately wouldn't want to go faster in my shitbox, but it's fun to run it up every once in a while

sorry triple post also my friend yesterday got a 89 in a 55 when we were driving out to co witch is the worst speeding ticket i have ever seen.
 
Yes, I could just tell you, but looking at my profile is much easier. And no, I stated above that a teacher at my school owns one, but other than that I've either never seen one, or never cared enough to pay attention to one.
