Yeah, the movie is great. Although I have only seen it once stoned at 3 or 4 AM driving back from a competition last year, but it was still a good time.

some lady stopped me in the grocery store to tell me i looked like spicoli. When i worked at a movie theater, I heard the same thing like once a week.
 
quite honestly i believe penns best roles of all time are quite oppositely in 'the thin red line' and as jeff spicoli in this film. it really is one of his best roles, its just that no one had the frame of reference to realize just how good he was at the time the film came out...
 
I love the scene when (is it phobe cates?) the chick comes up out of the pool in the other guys fantasy. Sooo hot.
 
ahhh, currently watching this movie, it's one of my faves! forest whitaker and sean penn were so young haha.
