Fashion show

GT used to be one of my favorite forums to just browse through and now i rarely visit it unless i need gear help. I believe this is because 70% of it is kids making threads about wanting to look cool. Similar to the b/s/t split, i think it would benefit anyone who actually wants advice on things other than "will this jacket be at my knees, if so what tall tee can i get so the layering is perfect", to split gear talk into a forum for actually talking about gear necessary to skiing called "gear talk" and to one literally called "fashion show" in a pink font

i think this would be a highly beneficial change to this online skiing community and wondered if anyone else agreed

thank you for your time

A little fooling around in that thread is ok. I'll be honest about me posting a pic me wearing my new causwell suit that came in. Eitherway, I do agree both should be seperated. One discussing hard goods like skis, bindings, poles, boots, etc., and another discussing soft goods like hoodies and outerwear.

i wasnt really talking about the outerwear thread, i post my shit in there too, i was talking about all of the other threads that litter it about sizing, color, and if kids will be cool

I'd say about 99% of those outwear threads can be solved with a 30 sec google search for a sizing chart and tape measure. Kids are just idiots

The occasional outerwear thread doesn't bother me. What bothers me is when an unnecessary thread pops up about a specific clothing item; while there's already a multi page thread about the brand that produces the item. This should fade away soon though, as NS will all be equipped for a cold winter.

true

but this site could be full of shit and people just wouldnt click on anything and it would all be okay with that logic

hardgoods and softgoods would be a good idea. i spend wuite a bit of time in GT and im sick of the "what size saga" or "tall enough tall tee" threads.

Oh yea, that shits dumb. If you can't figure it out yourself then........

But as far as the "post a pic" threads, I like them.
