So I was digging through our giant box of photos and came upon this one from before my parents wedding in 1988. My dad was wearing all of the things that are coming in today. A floppy beanie, flannel, and tight pants. Fashion trends are cyclical. It's all been done before.

haha it's so true...I found a picture of my dad taking me skiing, its from like 1990...He's got sunglasses (like wayfarer shaped ones, but in the early 90s those were just how sunglasses were shaped, haha), a striped sweater, and tight pants.

my dad had a mullet and handle bars, what hasn't the mullet come back yet?

oh wait yes it has, my dad has a whole era of emo kids dedicated to his hairstyles

that must feel great

ha, almost everything that is coming out now is actually 80's inspired.....think back about 4 years and everything was 70's inspired.......what's next?

very true. fashion gets recycled but bits of new stuff get picked up along the way. the frogskin-style glasses, for example, are just like the ones that men wore in the 50's. except now they come in hot colours and shit

my friends dad has, for as long as any of us can remember, rocked the one piece, the tall beanie, and no poles. he just laughs at us...

nah we gotta go through the knights days when everyone will dress up in full armor and carry around big fuckin swords.

we gotta have the big fuckin swords.

i REALLY hope its not the 90's....fashion was awful...

for the record, what your dad is wearing is pretty much what my boyfriend wore skiing today.
