Farmers Almanac Predicting Early Winter!

dude its not THAT good, winter could end as early as like febuary 28th!!!!!!

But the sooner we get to ski the better, so i am stoked

Winter 2007 will arrive earlier than normal

in most parts of the country, including New

England, the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Upper

Midwest, and Pacific Northwest ~

all having stormy winter conditions, and

below average cold temperatures, gusting

winds, stormier precipiations of cold

rains, snow, and ice ~ earlier than usual.

Winter arives by November 2006, and is at

an end by late February/early March 2007.

^i dont know if thats good or not

Fuck that dude. For the past two years it predicted higher than normal snowfall and you know what? We got the worst winters in years. That's just a bunch of bullshit to shatter the hopes of snow lovers everywhere.

I'm pretty sure they are right, here in Ontario (south-western ontario) its August and its soo fucking cold, usually it doesnt get this cold till late September. Hopefully an early winter will be result

ill believe it when i see it, and i rather have winter not start until later and later because then it is better conditions for alot of the comps including VTO and more spring skiing.

they predicted that in last year too

ya we got it in milwaukee

snowed like november 8th 2 inches, we had a whole lign of 2 inch storms until febuary. winter died mid feb. kinda sucked for people who could still ski

OK OK OK. I JUST WANT TO LET EVERYONE WHO IS GETTING ALL WORKED UP KNOW RIGHT NOW THAT THE LAST 2 YEARS THE FARMERS ALMANAC PREDICTED DRYER THEN NORMAL WINTERS FOR THE WEST COAST AND AS WE ALL KNOW TAHOE HAD THE MOST SNOW EVER THE LAST TO YEARS. SO YA I REALLY REALLY QUESTIONS ITS ACCURACY. k?

wrong... the last two years the farmers almanac has predicted wetter than average as well as warmer than average for the west coast... they were on the mark, The sierras have seen above average snowfall and rainfal the last two years

High elevation resorts like mammoth, Kirkwood, and Mount Rose have had exceptional snowfalls

i agree.. but who cares if it ends early march or w/e.. last year we didnt have ne snow all year and my local hill closed like march 5th or sum crazy early time like tht.. i would rather have it start early and end early march.. tht would be so sick

Yea and they predicted a very heavy snowfall year for the NE and we had one of the worst winters ever. I can already feel the change and it has been getting gradually colder. Its cold enough to close our windows during the day which we havn't done since May.

its def getting colder especially here in southwestern ontario, like i have a pool and yesturday it was to cold to swim...and its august.

I had to build a fire last night. You know you live in the middle of nowhere when you have to build a fire in fucking august.

Law of averages EC guys, law of averages...we're due for something big big big to even out all the shit over the past few years.

Yeah that's true, but the thing is that all the farmer's almanac has been able to predict right was that winter comes.

fuck the almanac this is how this shit works(or at least here in maine). its always on and off meaning one year will be sick and the next year will suck balls. 2 years ago we had a sick winter, last year blew cock, this year it better dump or im packing up all my shit and moving to whistler

Snow, and lots of it, is also forecast for the nation’s midsection, parts of New England, and the mountains of the Pacific Northwest. “The Great Lakes and Ohio River Valley may be the only area spared the extreme cold,” reveals Sandi Duncan, Philom., Managing Editor, “but this is not to say this area won’t be without its cold spells and significant snowfalls.”
