Martock's Joel Boylan was killed in a car accident last night, when his new car struck a telephone pole. This was a shock to me, as it may be to some of you. A large chunk of martock's snowboard talent is now gone, and i'm sure even if you didn't know him personally (i didn't) his presence still will be missed. RIP.

Wow.

This is a huge shock.

I knew Joel, he was a really nice guy. I'd talk to him in the park, he kept it real and killed it. Everyone will miss this guy and the impact he had on our local scene. Keep ripping it Joel, where ever you are.

Joel's been a huge part of the Martock crew and a growing part of the Canadian snowboard crew.He definetley lived the short life he was given to the fullest.

This sure puts the little stupid things we worry about in perspective....

I live in the community Joel lived in and , although I didnt know him personally, I worked at martock and can safley say that his presence is already missed in the community and that next season won't be quite the same for anybody in the Martock snowboard/ski scene. It really makes you think.
