Well theres not an actual video of him falling (sorry for disapointing all you heartless people who would enjoy seeing that). Just happened a day or two ago at the Cleveland vs. Texas game...but here is the video if youre intersted.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jFz93uOnyhc

guy has a fractured skull and ankle but is fine other than that.

and no, im not going to attempt to embed for my first time and fail. +k if youre nice enough to embed.

damn thats insane...i was just at that ballpark saturday night to see them play the whitesox.

whenever im at work, after the game finishes we have to walk along the stairs and seats on the upper parts of fenway to clear out fans, and let me tell you, the walls they put in front of the seats barely goes up to my knees. You lose your balance, slip, or get pushed, and its a long way down to a very rough landing. Its actually a bit frightening on a rainy night.

glad the guy is ok, but im willing to bet he never sits up there again.

And my question is why is there no video? Ballparks are loaded with cameras, and half of them always follow the ball, no matter what. I'm assuming there's plenty of videotape, but since baseball games are broadcast on a 5-10 second delay, they must've been able to cut it out.

holy crap, thats intense. I kind of want to see the video too. Crazy that the ump saw it though, and his reaction

i wanna know how the fuck you manage to fall off the second deck, yes its sad that he fell and everything but seriously how do you manage that?

well no fuckin shit but if you've ever been on the second deck of most any structure its not like the railing is belt high.

haha

well it looked like the railing was waist high, and he probably just leaned over to grab the ball.

seems like they would make the railing higher, but i think the point of a low railing is so you can reach further to get the ball?

idk

oh my godddddddddddd!! that was scary to watch even though it wasn't even shown. the ump's reaction was terrible and during the video i was just waiting for the crowd to scream. it's like knowing what's going to happen in a horror movie.

not at all. the low railing is a visibility thing. lower railing=more play in sight=pay more for the seat.

waist high though, damn. if thats the case then it's really a wonder that people aren't falling off the roof boxes at fenway daily.

He was being foolish and he had to face the consequences. It's a damn foul ball. No need to reach way out for a foul ball.

landing on other people may have injured them a bit, but also saved his life. those seats are not a forgiving surface to land on.

Texas is full of fat fucks holy shit. Probably worked out in his favor though, cushioning the fall.

Hope he is ok.

even if he didnt and doesnt have the ball to show for it.. at least he has a metal plate in his head now to show for it lol

on a semi-related note, is that the same guy commenting as for san diego chargers local broadcast?

love the voice being a chargers fan and could almost bet he is this.
