"Famous" NS'rs

Nope, never Skyped, but we did talk on MSN, haha. Good ole' MSN.

A lot of the old timers weren't mentioned, and I thought they needed to be listed. For the past six years, I've barely been on NS except for certain cults, so I don't recognize many of the member names listed in this thread... And I guess I don't feel like I'm really missing out on anything, ha. I'm sure I'd pay more attention if NS were the way that it was ten years ago. Then again, I'm glad that I've since found better things to spend my time doing. :)

And I love the Bachmeiers!

And all y'all naming all these people from years and years ago... Obviously they aren't too famous since:

A. They are mostly no long frequent NSers

B. Over half of the people in here know who they are

C. Stop claiming you remember OG members, they aren't "famous" if the new members don't know of them. Cool they were famous 5 years ago!
 
At this moment in time, yes Justin is more famous... I dare you to go up to a HS and ask 100 kids to name some of Elvis' songs... Then Biebers.
 
but we aren't polling just new members (current students). Many seasoned members (alumni) have chimed in here-- so the poll includes anyone who reads this thread and who they consider famous from/on NS, no?

If no one knew or remembered the old members, they never would have been brought up in this thread.

Trust me, I fully respect people who were first on this site... I'm not hating on them in any way?
 
There were plenty famous people around during 'The Great Ones' time.... And now; nobody knows who they are. They made all these one hit wonder songs...

And even the trolls (or aliases as we called them) were creative. Mommy, lil g, nsspellchecker and the like were all hilarious, thought out aliases, not some kid who just spammed or posted boobs and thought he was hilarious.

But now I feel that if someone were to post really offensive stuff all the time they'd get banned... Kind of like skiierman (And yes I remember the reason he was banned)

nsspellchecker was absolutely hilarious. no other alias or troll managed to monitor every thread for errors nearly as well as he did.

All time favorite though goes to nantucket. That picture of him and the wife has to be floating around the site somewhere still.

And to add on to that: just because new members don't know who the former alpha members were doesn't mean they're not NS "famous". That's like saying that The Beatles aren't famous because many kids these days don't know who they are. They might not be who everyone is currently buzzing about, but they're legendary... Which I'd consider to be a step above being merely famous.
 
All time douche of NS definitely goes to that eastAR5 kid or whatever his name was.

Never met him or anything but god did he cunt this place up a bunch. could be a cool kid in the real world who knows.
 
Well my shitty memory forgot that part! And some of the mods deserve more recognition than others. I think the former mods deserve a lot!
 
It's a cycle, New members join and are shaped by the older members so they in turn become the older members that new members of the future look up too. Eventually the older members leave and are replaced by the new members that used to look up to them. I remember joining this site, while not to long ago (09) I saw a lot of the seasoned members that would always post and you knew who they are and they seemed like such legit people at the time, and you want to strive to be like that. Not that I have really taken on the older member role all to much but I understand how when you first join and your first year or two people are much more active and involved, plus they post a bunch more, then as time passes other things come into view you have less to say and you start to move away from NS so other "newer" members can take your place.
 
Not only am I recognize everywhere I go I'm also hated come at me bro. So m any middle fingers and kids talking shit from the life when I ski down.
