he was born in flint, but im pretty sure he grew up skiing on the east coast, he went to one of those fancy skiing academies. Omar Otte and Gregg T are both out of kalamazoo though.

Let's not forget one of the best big mountain skiers and one of Utah's 25 most important people in the ski industry's Gordy Piefer. He skied at Mt Trashmore, Alpine Valley, Mt Holly and had a season pass to Pine Knob when he was ten til he graduated from High School and left to go out west. His mother still currently lives in Clarkston.

i used to ski with boyd at holly occasionally, wenever knew each other well but skied with the same group of peolpe out there, well before they ever tried to build a park... ahh the good ol days
