Family guy without Seth Mcfarlane

So due to the recent strike with the writers at fox, Seth Mcfarlane went and joined the ranks of the picketing writers. Since family guy is such a big part of their line up on sundays, Fox decided that they could either not air family guy or hire new people to write it and do voices. And they chose the second. I cant belive they would shaft Mcfarlane like that. Seth does stewie, brian chris, quaqmire and im sure maybe even a few. So now on this sunday they are airing family guy with all new voices and writers. I'd be understandably pissed if i were Mcfarlane and now family is gonna suck because stewie wont even sound the same. They are gonna lose tons of viewers if it isn't very very close to being as random and sounding the same.
 
lol that shows gonna suck without him he actually vioces every good character and practically writes every joke, family guy was kinda getting lamer but u still gotta respect the guy
 
and you know when seth comes back he's going to throw something in an episode kicking the shit out of fox for this move
 
I can't wait to watch it and see how messed up it sounds. it's like the episode where they're on tv and they take out meg or whatever and another character plays her and pretty soon the entire family is replaced.
 
is this only for fox? because i dont even watch it on fox that much. i watch it on monday tuesday and wednesday on tbs at night and caroon network.
 
whatever. fox owns that show they can do whatever they want with it. macfarlane has no place to be pissed off about it, he should have thought about that before he went on strike if he doesn't like it.
 
Or how they said, "and wrong sounding muppets" in some episode, and it cuts to muppets that sound wrong

You guys are too funny. And sort of out of the loop.

The writers strike is effecting so many of your favorite shows. 24 has been put on hold. The Office has 3-4 episodes shot and written for airing. Leno and Letterman are off the air. Colbert and The Daily show as well.

Some series shoot a majority of their episodes before the season, and a even slimmer majority shoot all of them. Many shows will take a hit from this.

The last strike lasted six months.

No, no one is getting gay on anyone. The writers deserve their money and the networks don't know how much it should be yet. A strike, as much as it sucks the TV world, has been in order for a while.

...as for Family Guy potentially shafting Seth and the other writers, that is pretty weak. Most affected shows (excluding Ellen Degeneris) have gone off the air due to lack of content, and respect to the writers. Interesting to see a show with such a need for writers, a show totally crafted by its writers, potentially drive them out with scabs. That is weak.

P.S. does anyone on this site post more than one to two sentence posts anymore? I think everyone has ADD.
 
damn i cant watch it but i bet its gonna be like when movies are translated into french and everyone has weird voices
 
interesting, thanks for explaining it out. I agree, it is lame to hire others like that when no other show is doing the same. also, shit nevermind, my two sentence quota is up. haha, jk man.
 
Mcfalane created family guy didn't he, if so then it's his property and they can't do it if he doesn't give his consent, is that right?
 
I don't know how much of last nights episode was sans Seth Mcfarlane, but I found the whole episode pretty funny.
 
That was pretty sick, that and the uninjured war veterans whos wives didn't leave them.

I don't agree with a strike cause I'm sure those writers make some decent money, but then again I'm not in their industry so who knows maybe they deserve it. I'm pretty sure that article posted said they had a couple shows mostly complete in advance so I wouldn't expect any huge changes immediately.
