What do you prefer outta the two? I wish familly guy was back on cause it was 10 times funnier then the simpsons....of course Stewie was the best!

Simpsons wins just for seniority. I mean you could prolly watch all the family guy episodes in one day. and Simpsons would take weeks. I think its a pretty even fight on entertainment value though.

It's on TBS at 2:30 although I think they changed it to 2:00. Both are really good. I think I'd have to give it to The Simpsons just because I've had fully comprehendible conversations with nothing but simpson's quotes.

family guy was too brilliant to stay on. the simpsons appeals to a much wider viewing audience, that's why its been on. the dumb people think homer falling down stairs is hilarious, and the more educated people think the more intelligent humour is funny. Family Guy was much more intelligent than the simpons regularly is, that's why it didnt catch on. my vote goes to Family Guy

A very tough question. Each has it's merits but I think it'd be more fair to compare the best two seasons of each. I think the simpsons during it's peak was the best show on television by a long shot. It's obviously not there any more but I tend to think that, if Family guy was around as long as the simpsons, it'd get stale too.

Both are great, the Family Guy was just far more edgie. It was like crossing Southpark with the Simpsons. Thats probably why it got canceled, it would still be on Comedy Central if thats where it was originally on.

Not only was Family Guy super random, it was also one of the only shows with jokes that were easy to miss. My favorite is the one with Peter playing wih the Ball and Paddle thing.

Oh, yeah, i think Family guy is way funier than the simpsons ever were. But Ren and Stimpy was the greatest cartoon ever.

family guy is incredibly funny.....but it only has one type of humor. the simpsons is much more multidimensional and anyone who says the simpsons sucks (!?!?!?!!?) should be thrown in a pit of acid

family guy stupid funny? what the hell? some of the stuff is stupid but they are much more political than the Simpsons are (not to say the Simpsons arent political) and much more cutting edge. an episode of Family Guy gets better the second time you watch it because there are so many little jokes in it that it's awesome, which is the Simpsons problem: its hilarious once, but really only once

after buying the season 3 dvd for family guy and watching it ALL THE TIME. I have to say family guy is the best ever. It was just too edgy for network television. One of the funny things about family guy is how they would do the same thing over and over until it got annoying and then when you were getting pissed off at it it just kept going. So funny.

simpsons is classic, but the new ones suck ass. Family guy takes the cake, but if it was 5 years ago, the simpsons would have.

i personally couldnt deside between the 2...i think i like the simpsons better cuz i have watched them more but family guy justs kicks ass....its equal
