Yo what the fuck? Third is a straight up rip-off of the La Familia edit.... same song and same name.

By the way the song is Method Man - Release Yo Self
 
It's more than just using the same song. It's the same song and the same name, used together, and the same type of "ghetto" sort of attitude. It's just straight up copying.

they've had that ghetto attitude since they came out 6 or so years ago.

and thats how they name all they're movies.

take a name of a song or a something related to a certain thug song and use that song in their trailer.

Technine would be the last group of snowboarders going around and stealing stuff, all of there videos have songs tied to them with the same title, like cold world has cold world and so on.

And that first part was probably one of the dopest edits I have ever seen
 
I see how this works. I'm not very intelligent because I'm calling out a group of snowboarders that I feel totally stole someone else's idea... Doesn't make sense to me. Don't get me wrong, these edits were super sick, and they all fucking kill it, obviously. I just get the feeling this wasn't a very original idea. And if it was, then I'm sorry, I apologize. But until I hear Marc say it, I won't believe it.
 
So you're saying that skiers can watch snowboarder's edits, but snowboarder's never watch skier's edits... I'm pretty sure MFM and his whole crew is human too, they most likely watch a COUPLE of ski edits.

It's like this, some skiers watch the edits on transworld... Some snowboarders might watch the edits on freeskier... Or no, is this not possible?
 
I don't think a profession snowboard company would steal some small group of skiers crew name and song for an edit, it just doesn't make sense.
 
See that's kinda what I'm saying though. In my mind I see it as they stole something from an generally "unknown" ski video. Therefore they can claim it as their own because they're obviously much more popular and much more recognized in the movie industry. Then again, I could be totally wrong.
 
Or it could be a coinincidence? think about it, some dope song about familia and they think whoa sick title familia, NEVER seeing a la familia edit or anything. La familia isn't exactly 4bi9 status, they aren't THAT known.
 
If you honestly think they stole the name and song just blatantly then you really have no sense at all. They wouldn't do that.
 
Maybe they didn't directly steal it? Because in my mind I don't think they would do that either. I see it as this. They had some ideas floating around, familia being one of them, and maybe they just happen to have seen that one particular la familia edit, thought the song would be perfect for a trailer, used it, figuring no snowboarder kids would recognize that it's been used before, and then bam, killer trailer with a killer song. Once again though, this is all theory, I guess we'll never know for sure what really happened. I'm most likely wrong though.
 
That was sick. Technine makes solid movies that get you pumped. I doubt they stole the name and song from la familia. I don't even really know who la familia is and I haven't seen any of their edits besides in enjoy when some guy is in the bonus sliding that rail at like 1 in the morning. It's kinda funny to see people say how thanks brain was so innovative I'm not saying that it isnt and its one of my favorite snowboard movies but technine has been doing this for years.
 
how the hell was that trailer innovative? it was just wiggers blowing smoke in slow motion and some urbans..thats it

not saying it wasnt sick, because it was, just far from innovative
 
yo that was definately a step up, they were doing way bigger drops than in previous years

1. skater slash on bank (nasty)

2. bonk on y kink hand rail 10 feet off ground

3. blind huge drop onto picnic table

everything in here was more original than in years past, and definately bigger, more stylie, and more tech.

That term has been around for fucking ever since it is spanish for "family" right? I dont really know spanish but that would be my guess.

And I seriously do not even know about the skier crew who calls themselves that. Rofl, why don't you write MFM with a hate email about how 'ZOMFG YOU STOLE THIS!!"' and see what he says, I bet he will laugh his fucking ass off at you.

By the way, that edit was sick as hell. Makes me want to start snowboarding.
 
i hope your kidding, im a skier and have never snowboarded in my life but i think snowboard movies are wayyyyy better
 
i completely agree with you.

most snowboarder movies have better soundtracks, unique tricks, and cinematography.

ski movies are all alike and are just starting to become more unique.

they had creative jibs, especially that one at around 2:50(?) where he hits the rail and onto the dumpster below.

but i personally didnt like the video cuz they thought they were the shit by putting on smoking shots and throwing their shit all over the place, throwing ur boards isnt cool, its fucking stupid.

that was so sick, im not into the whole "thug" thing but thats just me, i really liked the segments though, sick urban innovation, bomb drops, rooftop, a lil back country, it seemed pretty cool

finger on the trigger is the only company doing something actually sick with snowboarding right now. disagree with me and go whack off to the so called innovation and creativity of that think thank bullshit
 
uhhh thanks for stereotyping me, but no, that was not what i was expecting at all.

what i was expecting was something original other than overt and obnoxious hip hop, smoking weed in slo-mo, and bomb drops.

the way it was put together, without a doubt, was super sick...but there was nothing there that would warrant finger on the trigger being called innovative at all
 
I was just saying thanks brain kinda made people go crazy and were like omg this is so new (I mean as a full urban/jib movie) but technine has been doing crazy urban drops and gaps for years.
