Hey I'm coming down from Canada to work at Falls Creek this winter on the grooming crew and want to see if there will be any NSers around. Im seeing that theres not a lot of options out there for housing at falls so maybe someones got an inside scoop and might want to share a house? Getting stoked for the season and hope to meet some people for some laps!

i ski falls a fair bit actually unfortunatley i dont have any housing but youll love the parks. falls crew always can put something special together

Right on! see you out there

Im building the park, been crazy times so far but im stoked on the setup being the only park groomer! We have another guy from the states coming out soon so once we get some snowmaking temps we'll get some bigger features going. Im usually ninja'd out with coreupt skis so holler if your in the parks

Stoked to hear it. Im working away on new features every chance I get. The main priority now is more big jumps and getting ready for stylewars. Keep the feedback coming!

i was in falls a few weeks back when you only had drovers running but man that was sooo fun to jib round on hoping to do another trip in the next few weeks ill let you know

Ah ya nice! Been working like crazy with all of the nice weather... got a new rail line in the right side of castle and finally a 3 jump line on the the left side... 25-30-40 feet. Our second park builder just arrived today so we'll be shaping up more and more in the next few weeks. Storm the Castle slopestyle comp is happening on the 16th of August with lots of prizing including cash so come on out!

Hey Bmit,

The park looks awesome this year dude, can't wait to get up there next week. I am guessing you have met the creek crew?

Thanks! stoked to hear it. Now that theres 2 of us the park is getting better by the day. The jump line is getting a facelift so theyll all be taller, more stepover style. The plan is also to get more of a medium jump line going on with more rails scattered about. The slopestyle course will be ready in a few days so get it while its hot cause after Storm the Castle we will be closing that line to build the Stylewars course (very stoked on the design). We'll keep that course going for as long as possible after the event... Haven't met the creek crew but have seen some hoodies around town.. I'll be at Storm the Castle so hopefully I'll get to meet some of you!

Rumours untrue.. if anything for next year the funding has been increased. This year the program changed to cater towards the bigger demographic and set up the parks with more progression in mind. Now that we have accomplished that we will continue to build with more staff, tools, and new jib features. A lot to look forward to if you ask me.

BMIT,

Will they be bringing back step downs? or is the park going to be exclusively step ups? I understand its safer, I think but, from what I was seeing from Storm the Castle, everyone was landing backseat, especially on the last kicker.

thats a good call. its all about the progression. Buller is failing hard at this.

Agreed I was at Buller on the weekend. The begginer park Kofflers had had three jumps, all of which were actually impossible to get air off. The "jumps" ended up as a hill by the end of the day where more air could be achieved from the lip of the tabletop on the jump.

Skyline jumps were very sick though, but there was no small jumps on the mountain, let alone medium.

I can sympathize with the park crew though. It was interschool race weekend and all the lips to boxes and railed were trashed.

im up at buller every weekend and i know exactly what your talking about with koflers, i think it has good box to rail transition etc. but koflers isnt built for jumps its more of a rail park as the park crew has told me before. Skyline is where they put most of the effort in and it pays off! Skyline is a mad park and they maintain it pretty well for it only being a 3 member full time park crew, in saying that there are rumors of them building two summit jumps for the spring season
