Falling on last run

Just wondering if there are any superstitious NSers out there. I seem to have always noticed that I do a majority of my falling when I tell myself that I'm on my last run... anyone else noticed this magical phenomenon?

Why would you tell yourself it's last run? You call that shit at the bottom bro. Don't temp fate.

The snow gods don't like people trying to fuck with them. There's ALWAYS another run until you're at the bottom and satisfied.

I have my best runs and go the hardest a little past halfway (in terms of time skiing), i think it's when the best vibes are out there and the gopro comes out. I find that by the last run i just stick some nice steezy easy tricks so i am pumped to go next time. instead of ending the sesh on a bad note.

I brought some of the kids from the park I worked at to mount snow for pay your age. They were like, lets leave after this. I was like nah, lets take a few more. Then we got to the bottom and I was like lets get out of here. I thought you wanted to take a few more runs? Nah, just didn't want us to die.

Last run = death.

Last run, not even once.

Friends don't let friends call last run.

Guns don't kill people, last run kills people.

I called last run the other day because i hurt my shoulder the day before and it was bugging me. I called last run at the top of a-basin's cornice run and a gust of wind blew me about 10 feet out 30 feet down. Landed on my shoulder.

Moral of the story, the shred gods are angered when you call last run, will blow you off a cornice.

You're lucky, consider that your warning. When you call last run they take it as you laughing at them, and they don't take kindly to people laughing at them.

Glad you survived.

I feel like this thread will anger the shred gods more and they will just become more devious.

You have been warned.

Never call last run.

man, I even called two runs - one, and hit my head, sprained my thumb, along with bending my break and breaking my boots.

I always call "second last run minus one"

I'd say I'm moderately superstitious when i ski, my biggest tick is always having the green sidewalls on my Domains on the outside edge or else i feel like I'm going to fall.

Two years ago my friends i was with called last run. I wound up breaking my arm that run and had a cast up to my shoulder for over 2 months. So i make sure they dont call last run anymore.

rumor has it that before tanner broke his ankles he claimed he was going home after that switch 9.

Oh fuck us? And fuck the shred gods as well? I wouldn't want to be skiing in your crew. Just wait, when it happens you'll know, well if you survive.

I would recommend apologizing throroughly and sacrificing a goat at the summit of your local hill before taking another run.

Other wise well.....

Your last run might just be your last

the only reason calling last run would be a bad thing is if you think it is. Its all in your head, and your last run is the same as any other run if you have that mindset.

A lot of people get injured late in the day. Especially if you don't ski fairly frequently, your body is tired and your muscles are worn at this point, leading to errors and eating shit.

Don't get me wrong, I always shred til 4 if possible, but if it's flat light and 330pm, just take it chill.

my old ski coach used to say "you always get hurt on your last run of the day" because if you fall then its your las* ru* either way!

my buddies and i always add an extra run so if we think we have 2 runs left we say 3. If we think we have 1 run left we say 2

Last rail of my last run on saturday was this big down flat. I hit it with way too much speed and landed directly on the flat and nutted the rail cuz I wasn't prepared for the impact. Moral of the story: never call last run

when i bail on the run whos name shall not be spoken i have to do another or i will remember that bail until next time i go skiing
