fall out boy

no actually fall out boy is still a legit band.

as they always have been.

and just because a fad has been produced around them, doesn't mean they are beat

kill fall out boy and all sold out mtv emo poser bullshit... bands like that give the punk scene a weak rep. and has nothing to do with its original ideas or concepts.

Yeah, FOB is terrible... what? Whiny, annoying, poppy, mainstream... I change the station whenever they come on the radio. And just so everyone doesn't flame with "LOL U LIK LINKIN PARK U SUCK" I listen to Wolfmother, Sublime, Citizen Cope, Benny Benassi, The Doors, the Chili Peppers, The Faint, Talib Kwehli, etc. Good shit.

cuz, i listen to everything from rhymefest to less than jake to loretta lynn, and i can tell you that fall out boy is one of the most talented of what people would consider the "mtv bands"

if they weren't why would babyface produce tracks on their new album. exactly

and jea i have meet and greet passes to see them on jan 11th in cleveland

As far as I'm concerned, there are no good "MTV" bands. I don't really watch it, so maybe I listen to a few (Chili Peppers, Arctic Monkeys?) but for the most part...

i think there gay lol

im totally cereal.

they need to go and have a beer then drown on barf cause there fairies that probobably cant drink for shit.

You're uhm... you're taking it too far, dude. Shitty band though they may be, calling people gay is stupid and immature. And your comment definitely crossed the line.

fallout boy IS NOT an emo band. thay think thyre emo cause thay probly cut or somethin idk. i cut an im not emo, but im not gay either.

if people gave this band a chance, maybe they would think differently.

thats all i'm going to say

fallout boy are a bunch of twinks and gaypers, but the lead base did attack someone at a recent show and stomp the shit out of him, so i have to give him some props. i just saw it on the news

I used to be into them hardcore...then I realized that my little sister liked them too...as you can see I'm just too lazy to make a new name

chilled with them after the show in cleveland last night.

its weird that they are still as nice as they were like years ago.

also, just to throw this out there.

alot of you are claiming emo, and that they aren't talented.

if you look at the shit they are doing, they are very rounded musically.

outside of the influences of the new album, patrick sings on a misery signals track and co-produced part of their album.

jay-z is doing the opening track for the new FOB disc.

its beat because noone gives them a chance, when they have been one of the most dedicated, hardest working bands.

You said they weren't emo, and then mentioned something about "misery signals" in the same paragraph. Clearly, your argument has some holes.

you're fucking retarted.

please look up or download misery signals.

tell me that is what you would describe as "emo"

It's called "Misery Signals". It could be an epic rock song on the scale of "Stairway to Heaven" about Sylvester Stallone eating beef jerky, killing children, and wrestling grizzly bears all while having sex with five different gorgeous women and it would still be emo.

please please please back this up.

i mean, you can say they you don't like their music or whatever.

but please tell me how they are in it for the money.

if they were, they wouldn't be playing club shows for 1000 fans or less right now, they would be selling out another arena tour.

im defintley not a fan of fall out boy. other people might like them so good for them. but personally, i HATE them. so annoying.

i agree with all of that, but i don't understand why that would make them pathetic people for writing that song. its just a metaphor for a broken relationship going downhill.

if you knew how many things this band didn't do to make sure they weren't labeled as mainstream even more than they are, you would really be suprised.

they are all incredibly nice, down to earth dudes also.

i feel bad that i keep bumping this but i feel the need to explain all of this.

like in 2002-2003, when their debut album was out, they were a band who took special steps to chill with their fans. they gave out personal information, encouraged you to talk to them, and always signed tons of autographs and took you back stage/ to hang after the concert if you seemed cool. by "cool" that means like not screaming at them and just being like "hey, whats up".

this was something i participated in early in my high school carrer. freshman year. i was stoked on this band, because i had actually chilled with them. they used to wear some band shirts, and pete was just starting his clothing company. actually this may have been before he was. well i havent been to one of their shows since like 2 or 3 years ago. their music was great if you like that style, which i did. now, i admit sometimes it can be refreshing to hear one of their songs, but i dont really like them. they dont care about their fans. they fully sold out. they just got gayer and gayer. their styles changed completely. i dont know why i took the time to write this, or why you took the time to read this. i think i did becuase i just saw their new video as my sister was watching trl. it was #1 and some girl said shed kiss all the old guys in new york for tickets? well either way, just watching it i didnt even feel like it was that same band. i guess im growing up and out of that phase. i dont know if i was back in freshman year if i would have liked them how i did the way they are now. admit it, you all had/have gay bands like this you liked.

dude, you said you liked them after "FUCT" came out.

they haven't released anything since then. And the guys haven't changed their standards at all, its just they way they are presented by the mainstream.

i totally understand growing out of a band, but don't totally degrade them, just because you don't like that music anymore.

i know, because you were a fall out boy fan, that you know they are talented. and they aren't this big media scam that people make them out to be. so don't make them out to be these horrible people who are just doing it for the money, because you know they aren't

i feel like a total dbag because i'm the only one standing up for this band but i just wanted to add this.

they still do chill with fans after shows. at least OCK, which i am a part of. they still do meet and greets after every single show, and give us early entry. and like, watch the new video carefully. they have the GTA girl dancing, and like antler-boy. its supposed to be a throwback for the fans, at the end they even have them playing a vfw show in Iowa circa 2002.

im not gonna bullshit about how they are sellouts or some fad, i just don't like their sound anymore, its become way too overproduced, its not raw enough. i saw them live last year, and i'll be honest every song sounded really similar and they had little on-stage charisma. i also saw motion city soundtrack and the starting line that night, two bands who are realllly good live and recorded.
