Fall Out Boy - INFINITY ON HIGH (LEAK)

Show tunes...please. However, I'd prefer listening to him warm up than listening to his performance on stage or on CD any day. What a fucking atrocity of a live performance.

so you're trying to defend their straightness by showing us a clip of him singing showtunes and usher?

you really need to learn how to back up your position

you also say, "those pipes," those are not pipes, listen to Maynard, or Akerfelt, and you'll know what pipes are.

who are you to tell me that that isn't talent

i honestly don't care much about your opinion because it is art, and like i've said before:to each his own.

maybe if you break the fuck out of your genre and start showing me that you can appreciate other types of music, i'll repsect your opinions more

None of us are totally commited to the metal genre, it's just that a lot other musicians fail to show any sort of talent. Anybody who only listens to one type of music is missing out, but just because we don't listen to Fallout Boy doesn't mean we have bad taste. There's some reasoning behind it, believe it or not.

i didn't say "you have to listen to fall out boy to have taste" its just it seems like kids in the metal head cult ONLY respect metal, and eveerything else is shit.

sorry to make sweeping generalizations, i just get sick of being the "token emo kid" who only listens to fall out boy. because that couldn't be farther from the truth.

Sorry if you got the impression that we only listen to metal, because that is not how it is. I listen to a lot of classic rock and jazz sometimes, and I know a lot of the other guys listen to hip hop and other subgeneres that I can't think of right now.

i dig:

classical rock

folk

indie

hip hop

jazz

techno

phsycadelics

i dislike

emo

country

metal

rap

No two people are the same, the way music waves hit us and lyrics affect us differently. Maybe we were brought up in a fucked up home, there fore we would like the emo or metal. Maybe shooting nuccas and slapping bitches and drinking 40s is our thing, then thats rap music. The way we live and our thoughts affect our music. You cant say your taste in music sucks because everyones is different. Love music for what it is, just brain candy. I dig phsycadelic music because hearing all the different sounds trip me out. I also like hip hop because its got a beat and a flow. I dont like emo and metal because i cant make out the lyrics to metal, and emo music is to mtv. What im trying to say is i dont like fall out boy.

OK,

Here we go.

Metal, Jazz, Funk, Classical, Classic Rock, Punk, Rockabilly, Country, Blues, R and B.

Oh wait, I not only listen to all of those genres, I also play them on the drums...and have played many of those genres with several different groups.

So i must be the stereotypical metalhead who thinks all other forms of music are shit. No, I know unoriginal music when I see it.

Thats cool that you like that stuff good for you. But as far as my opinion goes, I would rather have sex with broken glass, then listen to that.

how can you say you like r&b, yet make fun of them for warming up to usher.

and not respect babyface.

I too enjoy and appreciate a wide variety of music (metal, oldies, punk, folk, hip hop, and more), and dislike some metal (namely, sludge/drone). Pop-punk emo is just good to make fun of. Just saying..

it's not like jay-z fans are going to run out and buy the album, because he says like 15 words (just as an introduction to the album)

so it's not necessarily a profit grossing strategy.

no, i don't.

being as that he owns the label (island/defjam) it would be like taking money out of his pocket and then putting it back in. also, he's pretty good friends with them so it's not strictly a marketing move (but i get what you're saying)

plus, jay-z appearing on the record isn't going to sell more records to the core demographic, so if it wasn't a full on collabo. it really won't change anything (he isn't even credited on the song title)

i love how people claim gay at fall out boy.

but listen to bloc party, even though kele is openly homosexual.

not that it should affect the music anyways..

maybe they mean gay as in sissy, or gay as in stupid..

not that I use "gay" in that context.
