I'm going hiking, and I want to build some sort of jump/jib thing. Who else wants to come along?

Let's meet at 10 in the paradise parking lot. Be prepared to carry all your stuff for about 3 miles or so before we hit snow, and then have the energy to keep hiking so you can ski. A pack where you can carry your skis is pretty much essential. Bring water and waterproof outerwear, as it can get way nasty up there.

If we're lucky, there will be pow.

Brian- Steal a car.

Will- I'll wait for them if they come. You should get over here. I've actually got couch space this year.

Make it happen.

it wasn't with you in specific... but last year someone posted a thread like yours and a bunch of people went and the weather sucked balls with no visibility and rain... just sayin make sure the weather is good

That was a trip that I organized, more or less. Rowen, Will, Matty and some of his friends and I went up, it did rain, and we had a blast.

well, the muir snowfield has crevasses all over it, so be careful. They actually closed the route up rainier until it becomes more accessable for winter climbers. I was there in july, and there wasn't a whole lot of snow, I imagine that now you'd have to walk for a long while up the skyline trail to get to any kind of base...and that trail isn't easy even if you don't have skis, boots and jib shit to carry.

There are definitely crevasses on Muir, but I skied about 4" of windbuff/suncrust about a half mile below there. Way fun.

Glorious day.
