Fakie, switch, cab????

i was always under the impression that cab was switch/unnatty....i never really hear anyone refer to hitting a jump "fakie" i think switch is probably the most commonly used and recognized term for riding backwards.

i think pep wrote an article in skeeze mag and mentioned this subject and stated his opinion like a fact but everyone knows what people are talking about whether they say fakie, switch or cab

someone in k2 skeeze at the beginning of the man just explains how there is no such thing as switch in skiing. But i switch the most out of the three terms. My opinion is that we should use all three...

as long as people know that you hit the jump going backwards when you desribe it, who cares how you do it?

logistically fakie doesnt make sense. ok, so all our names are taken from skateboarding/snowboarding right? nothing wrong with that, just the way it is. so, switch = riding opposite foot forward

fakie = riding switch + nollie stance

Cab = Caballarial. fakie 360?

so, cab doesnt make sense for riding. use halfcab/cab/cab 5 if you like, fakie makes No sense because last i checked we dont have a nollie stance, so switch is the logical explanation. opposite foot/opposite side = left/right front/back.

in my opinion,

one refers to switch as coming into the jump backwards as apposed to landing backwards which I refer to as fakie (i.e. air to fakie) and cab in skateboarding refers to a switch 360 so it is kinda misused.

egzactly if you know what people are talking about and what they mean dose it really matter?

call it whatever, unless its cab. dont bite skateboarding, cos skiing has absolutely nothign to do with skateboarding.

it imposible for a skiier to ski "switch" switch refers to riding with youre wrong foot forward so it just somthing we cant do so its deff not switch
