Fakie freeheel

I've seen guys doing tele turns going switch, and it's probably the coolest thing ever. Also, I witnessed one land a rail switch, and I heard he was also doing switch and corked 5's that same day. Telemarking is getting pretty crazy these days, it's really fun to watch some of the guys do it.

that is the dumbest thing ive ever heard^^^ one, you cant land switch on cross country skis because of the way the base is constructed with "scales" preventing backwards movement for climbing, and second, a tele rider who won the big air at my hill was doing rodeo 5's and cork 9s over a 40 foot table, and sticking them like butter.

I think they're progressing their sport every bit as fast as downhill freeskiing, it's just that they're limited more by the fact that telemarking is freakin' hard! I was watching guys do 30+ foot 360 mutes about 5 years ago, so they really don't get the credit they deserve.

there are alot of tele skiers out there that kill it. it's definitely fun to be a tele skier in the park cuz you meet so many people that are curious about tele, and if you ever see anyone else on tele, its an instant bond, probably somewhat similar to skiing in the park right at the beginning

if thats the video i'm thinking of, it really doesn't showcase what tele is capable off. i could make a much better video than that, so don't judge teleskiing in general on that one vid.

also, tele bindings are radically different from cross country bindings, not even really comparable except in the fact that the heel lifts

yeah i would def be interested in release, but i'm not really too confident in the technology right now, and also i haven't heard the greatest things about the 7tm bindings, would be great to hear more tho.

7tm's are sketch as hell. i demoed those things last winter and wan't impressed at all. even the karhu riders don't ride the 7tms.

two years ago I saw a tele guy do a zero spin off of a 40ft step down.. it blew my mind caus I'd never seen a telemarker even hit a jump before that.

i ride with a badass tele skier -- all over too -- big lines, switch, jibbin'. nothin' quite like killing the hill with teles, boards and alpines. it's all about havin' fun with friends. everyone's pushing the limits right now.

I just find it ironic, that tele's purpose was for BC, and most tele's today haven't seen pow ever. It just doesn't make any sense to me. No steeze whatsoever. Who are the chicks going to scope the hardest, the guy who sticks a switch cork 7 tru' tail clean and rides away like nothing happened or the guy who lands one but has to throw his arse out in some unnatural looking way to regain form ? C'mon now, you don't have to work at Wal-Mart to figure that one out.

there's a telemarker in fernie who skis as good switch as he does forward on groomers. It's wicked to watch.

no my friend. you are retarded. you know nothing about XC skis. a small small smaaalll percentage of XC skis are waxless. and we XC skiers dont usualyl call them XC skis, they are BC skis to us. XC sticks are wax-able skis.

on another note, they have started to produce twin tip XC skis.

waxless skis are defineatly in the minority for xc, ive never even raced on a pair, klisters a bitch, but more common. as for switch tele, swithch alpine turns are easy on tlel planks, and im startin to get the switch knee drop down, but its shady in pow

freeheeling really has nothing to do with cross country skiing, so that can stop, but freeheelers hit everything switch, our only real limitations are nosepresses, not much else

seconded

although check my post regarding tele coaching on FHL and t-talk. Hopefully, the more people that read it the more likely something will change - hopfully more tele skiers

i just find it ironic that your contributing to this conversation, even though you have no clue what your talking about.

most tele skiers havnt seen pow??? wtf??? we see pow just as much as you guys on training heels do. we ski the same resort. so why wouldnt we ski the same pow as you. and coming from you, i bet all the telemarkers at your resort can ski pow looking about 256% better than you.

"Who are the chicks going to scope the hardest, the guy who sticks a switch cork 7 tru' tail clean and rides away like nothing happened or the guy who lands one but has to throw his arse out in some unnatural looking way to regain form ?" --so your one of those people that ski just for chicks eh?? to bad you dont ski for the right reasons.

oops

back to the topic about riding for chicks and putting your ass in the air....if anyone sticks their ass in the air more on a switch landing, its sure as hell going to be alpiners. you guys have to rely on your toe pieces to keep your landing, so therefor, shove your ass in the air. and before you respond that you always ride away clean,we all know you dont.

C'mon now, you dont haev to work at Wall-Mart to figure out that dissing tele skiers on this sight is just plan retarded. grow some hair in your pants and then come back on this sight and well see how you act.

bitch.

landing straight up switch is the only way to go, way more pimpin than dragging your hands like a bitch about to be ass-raped. and who says tele-skiers can't stick cab cork 7 true tails?

that little bitch who thinks hes better than us cus hes got an extra 3 pounds of metal weighing down his heel so he can drag his hands like hes wiping his moms ass crack.

yeah i have to say i am somewhat dissapointed with the attitude of some of the teleskiers here. we are in no way better than our alpine bro's just slightly different. if you are dissing on alpine or just talking shit about how much better tele is then you are giving teleskiers a bad name. we are all in this together, and tolerance is what this site is really lacking
