Most big resorts use a product called snowmax in their snowmaking water. It allows them to make snow better at marginal temperatures. thats probably what it is

 
Yea, they put this chemical in the snow that makes the mountain bigger and better than every other east coast mountain, and it also makes the woods so much sicker
