why would somebody put effort into faking a rail that simple? just go hit it. i could see how you eould do that with a huge rollercoaster or somethin, but why a short straight rail? it looks fake, cause the guy doesnt hav a shadow on the rail

yes but then the shadow would be angled toward the bottom of the picture. the tree would be visible in the picture if there was a shadow. just look at the angle of the rail's shadow. a banner or something overhead could explain it but i doubt there's anything there.

looks to me like the shadows DO match and he is in the air about to land on the rail and yes he does have a shadow..the tree shadow is from a tree out of the pic, you can see the all the trees have consecutive shadows...

 
nah its fake, cause if your jumpin onto a rail your head is above the rail in the shadow his is not, and in the pic the treet shadow is pointed top left, the rail is bottom left, unless its a /------/ angles rail maybe? but there ant be to ambient light sources coming from two directions, inless it was like super bright night skiing!!

it isn't fake. there are shots from one of the moon landings like that where shadows aren't in a straight line. it has to do with a lot of things - but basically it's an optical illusion.

thats fake. The shadow just above the rail goes up and the rail and skiers shadow goes slightly down. or something like that. All i know is that its fake cause the angle of the shadows dont match up

I'm hanging with mike on this one.... not fake. The skier's above the rail, you can see the beginning of his shadow at the bottom left... and that big angled shadow cutting across the picture is from a tree or some other object that's off the picture to the right. The angles are different because that tree or lift tower or whatever is leaning.

100% real, anyone who disagrees is fucking fucked and shit, fuck...that rail is on a flat section, and looking down on it makes it look even weirder...there is no outline around the skier...the skier does have a shadow that matches the rail...and, yeah...its real, who the hell cares anyways?

Wow...does it really matter? Its definately real for the record. You can see the skiers shadow, but only part of it, it is to the far left of the picture. There is more than 1 tree in the upper right, that is why it looks like there is a different shadow for that tree. It is Real!

It looks like the rail is going uphill because the shot was taken uphill and behind the rail.

good observation skodeo. I didnt notice that little part of the shadow to the side. So the one I though was the skier is probably from the jump. My vote is real.
