Fake ID, $150.00, Should I? Help

Here's my situation- I'm 19 years old, my birthday is the end of March meaning I wont be 21 for another year and a half or so.  I'm going to NYC and my friend knows some guy who knows some guy that does this whole ID thing, and my friend bought one from the dude and it scans perfectly and works under a blacklight ( I didn't even know they did that ) and all that jazz. Also, the halloween party we're going to is at this bar in NYC which IDs, so it's almost a must. However, 150.00 is a shitload of money for a college kid right now so I'll probably end up putting some shit on ebay, but still.  I have the money, but my bank account is getting quite slim.  Is it worth it?  Thanks
 
Yes, its a no-brainer. For a high quality fake ID, $150 is nothing. They charge around $250-$300 for one like that around here.
 
Plus if you're the dude with the fake you usually don't need to throw down on the booze, the thing will practically pay for itself.
 
I would get it as a last resort. Just try and get one from someone who is 21 and looks remotely similar to you. Its not about the pic or the discription, establishments want REAL identification first. But hell if you dont mind spending the money, do it up!
 
Pros: Awesome fake, should work at almost all bars, I can buy booze

Cons: 150.00, most of my friends already have ID's and buy booze if we need, and they aren't that much into the bar scene yet (I'm not really either), and I don't know how much use I'll get out of it.

I'm going to crested butte for a week over the 2nd half of winter break so I mean it could get some use then, and if I go visit my friends at school in the cities I suppose I could use it there too. I'm just too much of a pussy to try and go into a package store cause I feel like I have terrible luck.
 
If you pay 150 for one just don't be stupid with it. The only thing worse than getting caught with a fake is getting caught with one and losing it after you paid 150 for it. I've seen kids get to greedy with fakes and lose it because there idiots.
 
haha yeah, but when it comes to shit like this i'm a huge pussy, like i doubt i'll ever go into a package store and buy alcohol myself. It's mostly just to get into bars that aren't too strict but will still ID me
 
i go to school in Philly and the bar/club scene is huge, everyones got fake id's cause you have to have one, good ones go from 100 to 200.... and most people can get away with a shitty one that costs like 35-40 and isnt even them... however if you are getting into going to bars and nice clubs, they are a MUST. DO IT UP
 
if the place your friend saw them in nyc is $150, then you're going to the wrong place. you can get a legit scanable one for $65-90 in the city.
 
pfft I live in canada, and got a completely legit fake id with a 2nd piece from a university (I got mine from a different province so that they would suspect it less cuz i 'have family in toronto') for $50.

you guys are getting jipped!
 
you'd go for like this one weekend, every other weekend you're here anyways.

or buy it and then buy me booze in colorado so i don't have to take it on that fucking plane.
 
Well, heres the downside. If you have an ID, it means that you have to supply for all your friends.

its totally worth it and I wish I wouldve done it a couple of years ago. I dont turn 20 till august and all my roommates are about to turn 21 in the next couple of months and some already are and some have fakes. I just hope they dont go to bars too much and leave me behind.
 
I've read mixed reviews, I'm not going anywhere in canada anytime soon and I'm not driving to toronto or wherever just so I can spend 50-70 on a good one. Like I said, I wont be 21 for a year and a half so I'll definitely get use from it.
 
Or just move to Canada.

It's absolutly ridiculous that you can go to war but not the bar in the states
 
Dude it's a scam. Post-911 there are NO legot fake ids online. It doesn't matter how professionally looking they are or how many testamoials or review sites they point you to saying that they are legit (who do you think runs those review sites) they are all scams. Save yourself $150 and trust me on this one. There is a reason why they ask for only untraceable Western Union wire transers, money orders or cash ;-)
 
at my home a good one goes for 80-150 or so. no one spends more than that EVER. some people will get shit ones for like 50 or 60 and somehow they work, but i would much rather get one from someone whos 21 who looks like me
 
well if your going to the city into a major club/bar with a fake, good luck. Trust me, even with the ones that scan, are flexy, ( make sure yours is flexible because NY ones are) and ones that go under black light, they can tell what a fake is from a mile away. Also! dont try hoboken either, their so good at finding fakes! that price isnt bad, my friend charges 100 and hes got 10,000 worth of machines n shit to make em, so thats pretty good. good luck though
 
my buddy bought one for 300 bucks, and it was supposed to scan and pass the blacklight test and the first time he used it the guy at the liquor store took it. Then he got a call from the cops, and then he ended up losing his license for a year. I know its an extreme example but think about it and make sure you use it in areas where they aren't going to be checking and getting all anal about whether its real or not.
 
150 is a lot.. you can get a legit scannable for between 60-100... You can a legit ID that will get you into most bars and let you buy at most liquor stores for between 50-75.. All of my friends got IDs in the city when we all turned like 18ish, and most of those are gone, b/c you get ripped off in the city wen it comes to IDs.. If you wanna get it, get it, but there are better options then buying one for 150 in the city.. and ppl who paid 300, thats redic.
 
im not sure how it would work for you since youre a guy... girls have way better luck with them it seems like. my friend has one and the picture looks nothing like her but it works every time.
 
haha some of you didnt read the topic. I'm not buying it online, my friend has one and it scans and passes the blacklight test and has been tested, I'm not getting a new york ID and I can get it from any state, and it's not legit, just a really good fake.
 
150 is extremely expensive. i can get a fake for 60 and it scans.  i would look somewhere else, but i guess if thats your only option, you gotta go for it
 
iv only been i a bar a few times, not really into it. I'm only 17 and don't have an ID, i just walk on in. Same with buying booze, i just walk in go straight to the coolers (cold storage not the drink) and pick out what i want then throw down a $fifty AND ITS A DONE DEAL. Works almost every time. It does suck because all my friends get me to pull for them them now but whatever I take my cut.
