The artical went on to say that the movie was just a two hour series of cheap shots at Bush and little more.

So if this is your liberal god send I hope you reconsider, because all he does is take low blows and no fair shots. It is a totally one sided film, but hey I am going to be their tonight piss-ass drunk, yelling at the screen, and ruining your liberal wet dream with a fifth of Jim Beam and a love for America and Bush.

you should watch bowling for columbine because that is 1) a really good movie and 2) it shows how he can make a point without bashing conservatives

you just gotta go into the movie realizing hes a filmmaker with an agenda, so obviously the movie and facts will be manipulated and biased

even though if you just start thinking about one thing in a different way, he achieved his goal

I saw Bowling for Columbine and I didn't think it was that bad, but I am a stauch 2nd amendment advocate and so that aspect pissed me off instead of the conservative aspect. But I still thought it was well made and brought up intresting points. Regardless, he remains a douche.

Michael Moore is pretty extreme in his views, but i think his radical stance gets people to at least think about polotics and why they back thier views. Personally, I'm going to see this movie and applaud every 5 minutes.

Moore doesn't make this movie to turn every Republican into a Democrat, he simply stirs the shit bucket in an attempt for people to look further into government than what we hear on fox news. The controversy is what keeps him going, he's just trying to get people more involved and interested.

 
Even bowling for columbine pissed me off, they way he exploited those poor kids who were victims just to support his own political standpoint just makes me angry, and even worse was he tried to hold k-mart responsible for selling the bullets.

k-mart sells millions of bullets a day I bet, they don't know what people will use them for, its a form of business that they do. do you think k-mart really had anything to do with the whole plot?

It's nice to see things from a perspective that mainstream media don't show us, and the governmnet doesn't want us to see.

Though, like all media, and especially in his case, there is a lot of bias, this means that you have to take what he says with a pinch of salt.

It is refreshing to see though.

HE was on The Daily Show last night and said staight out that he is not fair, he knows he is biast, as with every movie, cd, and campaign that has ever come out or taken place. The movie is a visual list of facts, his opinion is shown very well in the film but so is every directors of every film. I was not pleased with Bush these last 4 years and am not a fan of Kerry eigther, Dean was my man, but people were too scared to take a chace on him. instead they chose two losing candidates to further run this contry into the ground. Our only hope now is Nadar pulling some amazing come-from-behind victory, like mike D throwing the switch cork 10 to beat t-hall in the 03 US OPEN BIG AIR, and you know why he won, because he took a chance. we as a nation need to take a similar chance by voting in a liberal president, just to see what happends. what more do we have to lose, the respect of every other county? nope Bush lost that for us

 
Haha i saw the trailer to this movie and it's like all picking on bush. Bush goes, 'I want everyone to help us stop all terrosists at any costs. Now watch this driver.' And he hits the golf ball, haha good times.

while micheal more is undoubtabley bias, its at least he shows the flip side of the coin. The american media is so bias on the oposite sceme of things that to listen to what they have to say you'd think america was a pure and perfect nation under god. do to free speach he should be able to say what ever he wants and i think that a bit of bush bashing is really in store after he has effectively doubled the number of terrorists in al'qaeda inaddition to killing thousands of inocent. those are hard things to just ignore. i think micheal more has sold out somewhat and likes making his money, but at least he can see bush for what he really is

There are some totally groudless things going on in this thread. Too many for me to even keep up with. Here are a few:

'BFC Was all lies': Despite allegations from right-wing groups who immediately set out to destroy that movie, Moore was in fact later able to discredit every accusation made about falsified information in that movie with supported evidence that was (and should still be) on his website.

'The mainstream media is as biased as m Moore, except Fox News.' What can I say, your compass is pretty much useless. Fox news is about as 'Fair and Balanced' as a group of drunken european soccer fans.

'The WSJ is a liberal paper'. HAHAHAHAHA... wow... no, I'm sorry, it's not. Apparently you've never seen a Liberal paper.

Also, I read the review about the movie, and I could tell that the author of that review started thinking up all those creative ways of describing moore before he even went into the theatre. The guy went in there hating moore and hating all that he stands for, and came out hating even more. That was an absolutely terrible review, it was more of an editorial, and it didn't give much of a picture of what the movie was even like.

also, what moore is aiming at with this movie isn't to offer solutions, he's aiming at raising the awareness of people in america about what's going on in the world, so they can make more educated decisions and have a positive effect on the direction that this country goes.

well im just glad to see that he is one man that is taking a stand against the US government. While all he says may not be true, what he does is he raises awareness. As opposed to some people eating up all the bias pablem that is being fed to them by the american govt they may have some doubts, do some research, and be able to ascertain the truth. he is fighting the american govt with its own weapon....the media

look, i havent read the whole thread, but heres what i think of the original post. of course its one sided, the mans supporting his opinion, he obviously isnt going to say BUt then again, the opposition isnt that bad, i mean, bush is great. his film is based on his dislike for that party, not his like for it. and if you've read his books/watched his movies, youd realize, hes not really that one sided, he takes shots at most of the politicians, regardless of party.

why do people assume that because a potential fact goes against their beliefs that it must be false(like bowling for columbine a handful of people mentioned)? can't you instead see something for what it is and not be blinded by your own prejudices towards anothers ideals.
