Was speaking to a rep at a snow expo the other day,

i was actually walking into the place to buy some armada halos, that were crazy cheap well for Australia anyway $475...

But the guy running the store was a faction rep anyway...

He suggested the candide 1.0 crazy light ski similar sizing to the halos but with full camber only 5mm

or the silas which is pretty much the heavy cheaper option.

I woulda thought the Soma would have be a lot more similar to the halo as it has tip and tail rocker with camber under foot.Can get 20% off faction but that still puts the candide at $660 and the probably the same for the soma.

Whats your guys opinion on faction skis? or should i just stick with halos?

faction has been pumping out some really good skis in the past couple years, that being said i know nothing about these two particular park skis. dimensions and build look good but definitely no halo...nothing can compare to the shape and design of the halo. 2nd one seems like it would be closest
 
I've tried the candide 1.0, but thought it was a bit too unstable. The Silas is one of the best park skis i've ever ridden. - I would choose Silas before Halo. (Also skied Halo a few days, but they are more like a toy for beginner skiers rather than an actual ski). Just my opinion.
