Faction skis - Wednesday and Royale!

Hi!

I'm considering a pair of Faction Wednesdays plus a pair of Royales for powder.

But somebody say that the Wednesday is very wide, and that they are for both park and powder. Therefore, I ask you if I'd be better off with just the pair of Wednesdays, which can be used in both park and powder. I'm 175 cm (5'8.9''), the Wednesdays is 178 cm and the Royales are 183. Both skis with Marker Jesters.

I ask because I have the opportunity to get them for cheap, slightly used.

Can you tell me anything about the skis? I'm talking about the 08/09 models. What should I do?
 
Yes you could use the wednesdays for pow but they arent that wide. they are only at a mid 90 waist which is perfect all mountain but if you really want a hardcore fat pow ski def look into the royales since they are rockeredand like 120 waist
 
Ok, I understand. But are the Wednesdays good park skis? If I'm going to buy a pair of dedicated powder-skis, I also need a pair of dedicated park-skis, not any compromise. The alternative is a compromise between a park and powder-ski.
 
From what Ive heard the wednesdays are great park skis. Wide enough forstabe rails but thin enough for easy edging. Also they come in longer lengths and Ive heard they are really stable of jumps. So if you wanted 2 pairs of skis the wednesdays and royales would be a good combo. Why don't you get the Faction Kennedy (Its their new park specific ski 114-82-106) + Royales for pow?
 
ok now that i read they are used.. so you maybe can't.. if not.. most of the team used wednesdays for park up until mid season.. they are a good park ski
 
Get the Wednesday. They're the perfect dimensions for park and they're not quite as completely useless as an 80mm waist ski for everything else.
 
Sounds good. Maybe I'll stick with them both and have one pair of park-skis and one pair for powder. It seems to be a good combination. Still open for comments!
 
Damn, I hate when websites say that the wednesday is 25% powder! I have no use for two powder-skis, I need one pair for PARK! I've ridden the T-halls until now, and the Wednesdays is 126/92/115 @178cm. That's almost close to the Armada ARV! Or isn't it? I'm afraid I will be disappointed because of the width!
 
Hey man,
I've ridden many pure, pure park skis and I've also ridden the Wednesday. The Wednesday preforms just as good if not better than the majority of true park skis I've been on. Do not worry, they will suffice any park need you could have.
 
That sounds good. I've heard they're pretty light, too, and the Marker Jesters is also pretty light. So though it is a bit wide and long (I'm 175 cm, the skis 178) it will probably be good.
 
So I think I'm going to buy them tomorrow. Any more opinions? Would be very glad to hear from somebody who've actually ridden them! But it sounds good that you say it's good as, if not better than other legit park skis you've ridden!
 
So I bought them both. Looks like they aren't that wide, and I think it will be a superb parkski. Both of them looks very solid. So stoked on trying them soon!
