Faction prodigy 1.0 mounting point

I just got my faction prodigy 1.0 and some attacks and realized that there is no recommended mounting point, or dead center point. Can anyone help me figure this out. My local shop isn’t the brightest considering they had to re-drill my last pair of skis twice after messing them up. But because they know my dad they do it for free. I’m just scared that they’re going to mess up these ones

Measure it your self and mark it so it's visible and write boot centre

Center of Cord length (length of full ski) or center of running surface? Cuz the prodigy is rocketed heavy in the nose and not so much in the tail

Does this help at all? There should be at least one mark, and on the 20/21 Prodigy skis it’s the, “classic,” mount.

Never mind I’m dumb, all my other skis have had true center on the top sheet but these have it on the side wall, how far should I mount back though for park performance -15mm, or -30mm you think?

Go Newschool, which is 30mm IN FRONT of the marked line (caps for emphasis). If you’re only skiing park I would measure the true center of the ski (measure the length of the ski, cut it in half) and go -1 from that. That’s where I ride mine and it works perfectly.

So 30mm in front of boot center?

No no.

1. Find the mark on the sidewall. That is the classic mount provided by Faction.

2. Measure 3 centimeters in front of that line. By in front of, I mean towards the nose of the ski.

3. Mark on both skis the spot that is 3 centimeters in front of the recommended mount point.

4. That new mark is the reference for the technician to mount the bindings. Your boot midsole will line up with that mark.

So this would be the best mounting point for park skiing?

Yes, mostly park skiing is the “new school” mount which is plus 3cm(ahead 3cm of the sidewall mark on Prodigy skis).

When you say the sidewall mark do you mean the all mountain mark or the freestyle mark?

On the prodigy line, the sidewall mark is the all mountain mark and you go 3cm forward towards the tip for the freestyle mark.

On the Candide line, the factory mark is the Candide/freestyle mark and you move the bindings BACK if wanted a more traditional/all mountain mount.

so what’s the best mounting point for like 85% park and 15 all mountain, because i was thinking -1 but due to the unsymmetrical shape would mounting further back be better

The new school/Candide/freestyle mount at plus 3cm from factory Prodigy 1.0 mark gets you to -2.5cm from Center. I would not go further forward than that as it’s a directional sidecut ski and it will be less stable, not carve as well and be more nervous ahead of the that. Faction does not recommend going ahead of plus 3cm for these reasons.
