Both skis are on a big sale right now. The CT 5.0 2019/20 costs 300€, the 2021/22 is 400€ and the Reckoner 122 2020/21 costs 300€. I've heard the newer CT is more durable but costs 100 bucks more, don't know if its worth it to spend extra. I'd like to ski pow but hard packed snow too. Thoughts?

who still even has the CT 5.0 available? Ive been looking for a pair but no one seems to have them in stock

wReckoners are the worst quality ski I've ever skied. Had a pair of 2021 102's, skied five days of park with 'em and had cracks in all four edges with one bulging sidewall. Got my money back but definitely won't be buying K2 skis for park ever again. Heard multiple similar stories with similar results withoyt hitting any rails!

Is it true that the 22 model has a better build quality? Does anyone have experience?

22(and 23) Factions are now made in the Amer(Atomic/Salomon etc) plant so they were better made than the 20 Factions that came out of the Sporten plant. 21 Factions were made in the Fisher plant and have heavier, beefier builds with the same dimensions as the now lighter again 22 versions.

Are you using this as a powder only ski because you mention skiing hard pack too with it. If it’s a powder only ski, I’d go with the 22 CT 5.0 for the better build quality.

If it’s a groomers/soft snow/powder ski then I’d go to the narrower 21 CT 3.0 that’s on that site for around 300 Euros. Fantastic ski that’s very versatile and amazing build quality.
