Faction 1.0

Does anyone know how faction measures their skis? Also I'm hoping that reported short turn radius is real. Can anyone chime in? Want a lower ice coast park ski with a super short turn radius cause are trails are very narrow.

bumping, anybody got info on the real length and if the turn radius feels really short or if that's just the measured number?

They measure their skis before molding so they would tape measure about 1.5-2cm shorter than their specified length. Radius is 17m on the 1.0(176cm) which is slightly tighter turning then most park skis but not Slalom ski short radius. Rocker tip and tail which would make them “ski shorter” than a pure camber ski.

They would be a good ski for east coast I think. What’s your height, weight and ability to maybe give a recommendation for lenght?

I'm 5'5" short and 120lbs, been skiing for 20 years, I'm no nub. I know the radius is short, but does it actually ski like that or is that just the calculated radius and it feels longer? I was skiing on ice today, I'd like some edge grip and a quick ski.

edit: i was going for the 170's. Also considering ON3P magnus since my brother has some and Salmon NFX cause the turn radius, but I'm weary of salomon park skis still from the suspects.

Can't chime in on the other skis, but if you're dead set on a short turn radius, I wouldn't recommend the Magnuses. I've found they are best ridden fast and not trying to make tight turns.

I skied my brothers Magnus yesterday and I did like them, they definitely do turn better at speed but I'm guessing most skis do. It's hard because I can't try any of these skis really, I like the magnus but I'd like to try factions, but that means I'd have to buy them blindly.

The NFX are a stiff, super stable park ski that would have very good harder snow edge grip. Not the lightest ski and not a "playful" ski but it is great on large jumps and at speed. WAY better ski than the Suspects which were not a good ski IMO/Most peoples opinion. The Faction will have softer tips/tails and rocker on them, so would be more playful more fun in softer snow but give up edge grip on harder snow to the stiffer, full camber NFX.
