i broke my wrist on saturday in my lax game, i got cross checked and i'd just made a pass so i had my hands up and my wrist bent back all the way causing a scaphoid fracture. i went to the doc today and i'm going in for xrays tmrw but he's almost positive it's broken. for now i have a massive splint on my hand so it takes me like 5 mins to type like 10 words.

ski season is over and all i was looking forward to was mtb season which i can't do in a cast so i'm stuck with nothing.

i was wondering if anyone else has had this before and knows how long it takes before i can do shit

this isnt the same almost at all, but i had a broken hand, shattered one on the... metacarpel i think? for my ring finger, not positive on the spelling or the name but i was in a cast for about 3 months... god my hand smelled bad, but i managed to get a shit ton of sympathy from the hot girls at school. you can still like ride a bike probably but not mt. bike.

how long before you can do what? and are you refuring to how long before you can do something with this certain break youve had? or just in general of broken wrists

ive broken my right wrist 3 times and broken a few fingers on it also(not my only injuries though) and it takes a solid 4 weeks with a cast if your lucky, then you have about a week or 2 after where you jsut have to ease it and gain your strength

do you possiably have to get surgery? sucks man vibes+

no surgery and i won't have a cast above my elbow but i'm hoping the cast won't cover my thumb because that's the worst part about the splint
the bone is right at the base of my thumb, so if you stick your thumb out straight you can feel a little hole on the side of your wrist and the bone is in there

right. which is my dominant hand. i.e. no masturbation :(
the worst part is that i need to do my ap art portfolio and i can barely hold a pencil let alone produce fabulous art

bummer

and your dominant hand too that makes it so hard to do anything

i forsee you making several thousand more posts this summer

with your left hand

haha i'll do that anywayi can type okay but i'm used to hitting space with my right thumb so using my left is weird

Work on stuff with your left hand. It's good for your brain. Work on your coordination, your footskills and waste heaps of time on NS. When i broke my finger i spent a lot of time throwing a ball against the wall with me less dominant hand, more fun then it sounds.

yo man it wont be to bad, it probably will cover your thumb if the break is where you say it is,

also i learned how to write with my left hand my last time i broke it, its not bad once its in the cast
