Facebook name changes

If you change your name on Facebook, and someone searches your old name, will your profile still come up?
 
pretty sure it will not, my friend's name got changed by some other friends as a joke and he finally got it back not too long ago, and i cant find him under his fake name, only his real name now
 
changing your name on facebook is stupid, unless you A) have no penis or B) are chaging your previously stupid name, you should not change that shit.

AMENDMENT TO A) even if you have no penis its still fucking dumb haha
 
As a college student looking for cooperative education internships, I and many of my friends have changed facebook names in order to avoid being searched for. Employers frequently use facebook as tool in the interviewing / hiring process, and facebook is something that many students like to keep private.

How old are you? Mostly all seniors where I live change their names for colleges because colleges will go on fb and look for you to see if you smoke/drink/party/do illegal things.

So kids will change their names so they can't see any of that
 
if you change all your privacy settings and make it the most private, is it still possible for future employers to seek everything? i know my sister has it so you cant even search her name. i also think you can set it so people cant even see you on another person's friend list. why not do that?
 
OR you could be responsible and not have pictures of you with 300 beers or taking bong rips on Facebook. Really isn't that hard...
 
If you want to change your name don't change it to something like "mclovin69" or something like that just go to myspace.

If you don't want colleges to see stuff, then go to your account settings and set everything up for maximum privacy.

No, if you change your name, you cannot search your old name and come up with yourself
 
no they can't... furthermore, you can restrict certain people (current friends) from seeing certain things... An example would be, i have a group called professional on mine that i put any colleague that requests me in...I don't allow them to see pics, my wall, or my status
