There was a thread on NS sometime ago about how to show that your offline just to one person but still be online, I can't find that thread. Can you guys help me?....................

click on the online friend thing on the bottom right.go up and click on friend lists.create a new list, and include only that person.when you open the online friends thing again, you will see that list. there is a slider next to the name of the list, slide it to the right and you will appear offline to all people in that list.

One more question, does the friend have to be online to slide it to the right??.....................

i believe so, yes. but once you do that, it will always show you as offline to them until you slide it back to the left. it never resets

the people in the list you have switched to offline will not see you and you wont see them.

I cant figure out how to add just one person to a list? I can create a list, but how do I add them to it?

scroll over the list name and it will say 'edit' next to the list name. click on that to add people
