F/S Cannon Lens

yes it is a kit lens...

also, i forgot the most important part

it is the I.S. version of the lens, that would be why the price is so high

its sooo sick...i love it.

best bang for buck in my opinion.

i upgraded to a bigger lens too so that makes it even more spectacular haha

night and day, the IS is the only thing that gives the lens any value at all in my opinon... ill post pics of some shots taken with it later

I'm sorry, but I don't think IS or VR or whatever you want to call it makes much of a difference in the quality of your pictures. If you're that worried use a tripod or monopod.

it only matters below shutterspeed 1/40 but not below .5 seconds. unless you are in deep telephoto the is helps. IS on a 18-55 mm though wont do too much. if you are shooting low light you should have a tripod anyway. you can take pics on a sunny day at 100 film and most aperatures pretty much until the sun sets and not go below 1/40. its just one of those things to try to get you to pay more money for your camera.....just like adding a few megapixels, when a 8 megapixel camera can make a poster no problem, you really dont need anything bigger than a poster......most of us just compress the image down and put it on facebook or NS . com anyway.

Not to hate, but you are asking alot for the lens...even with the IS...

Plus,

it doesn't have the warranty once it changes hands. It's a kit lens

packaged with a body...as soon as it gets split up the warranty goes

away unless you provide the receipt for the whole kit.

And at least check market value before coming on here...KEH has new ones going for $165 that include that warranty.

Well you said only post if you know what you are talking about to someone else in the thread...and I know what I'm talking about.

PS: Canon only has one "n".
