Is it possible to pay Level 1 & Poor Boyz directly and then, they give you a digital download link. 4bi9 Did it with Look it up. It means, you pay less, because it cuts out the shipping/middle man/dvd cost.But the film companies receive the same amount they would minus there production costs.

Nadda mean? Its just that I live in NZ, and shipping/middle man will be expensive..
 
Yes. Go to their websites... it's not like they advertise it or anything.

Come on, it's not that hard to figure out.
 
If there's no official way to do it you can easily find a contact page and email them inquiring about it, they'll end up sending you a file
 
Both were on iTunes last year, and Level 1 did live streaming from their site as well.
 
Any torrents up yet? been looking but couldnt find 1, both have been out for a couple of days already havent they?
 
You're a fucking moron. Just because there was a premiere doesn't mean the movie is released to the world yet. Also, I hope nobody puts up a torrent and by downloading it, you are taking money away from the company that created it. DO u want to see a level 1 movie next year or not?? dumbass
 
oh so it was only the premier, tought it was the release of the dvd, and i dont give a fucking shit if theres gonna be a movie next year, i just want to see a certain clip/part of the movie
 
Seriously get the fuck off, if you take money away from the production companies you will never see a big movie ever again and then you will never see those parts or clips you wanted to. Fuck you man your not a true skier.
 
This year Level 1 is releasing an HD iTunes version for the first time. We're always looking for the best way to bring down the final cost of a DVD, most film companies don't agree with it. If sales volume was higher like Hollywood movies the high $20 price point would come down. iTunes/solid state media seems to be the future of affordable action sports movies. As long as people continue to support their favorite films on iTunes, there should still be a future...
 
I can't tell you how bad torrents are for ski movies. I'm sure most people do it for Hollywood films, but when your downloading a ski film torrent it hits home hard. If I ever see someone like you bitch about how a ski film needs to step up their game....

He says he doesnt give a fuck if they make another movie next year or not, so fuck him! And if he doesn't support the industry and doesn't even care if the companies can't make it then he really isn't a true skier. So if you don't want to pay, then FUCK YOU don't watch it...
 
Get the fuck out... You must be 12. No matter what you say, pirating is wrong. It just sucks even more when you're pirating from a small company such as Level 1, or any other ski movie company. Now I'm not saying I don't pirate stuff, but I certainly don't pirate ski movies... Support the fucking industry you douche bag.

Holy fuck... The ski industry is small and tight knit. Everyone within the industry knows everyone else, and pros regularly put their input here and communicate with their fellow skiers. When was the last time you were able to talk to a pro NFL player on an online message board? The ski industry is like no other inudstry in the world... I don't know about you, since you're clearly retarded, but personally I feel like a part of this community we call "free skiing". And to steal from a fellow member of this "community" is just fucked up and wrong. Do you think it's okay to walk into a small, family owned business, rob them, and leave because you really couldn't care less if they're around next year? Fuck you. Your selfishness and lack of conern for others is so fucked up; all because you couldn't shell out 30 bucks to pay for a movie that we all love, and to support the cinematographers and skiers that worked so hard to put it together.
 
Most likely about a month after the pre-orders ship...that's kinda the advantage to pre-ordering, you get it before people who are waiting for the itunes download or whatever.

And...if you don't want to pay for the movie...DON'T FUCKING WATCH THE MOVIE...it's that simple, I'm proud to say the I've pre-ordered 5 movies this year, and I ordered 5 last year...and STILL bought digital copies of those movies just so I could have high-quality versions on my computer while on trips and so that I could support the film makers (hell - I bought the Refresh Digital Steam TWICE - it was by accident, but I didn't complain one bit about it). Are the prices for these movies high..yeah, but they are what helps me get really pumped in the fall getting ready for the winter, so it's worth it to me. If you can't afford to buy the movie, maybe your friend has a copy you can watch, but please DON'T download them without paying for them, you are LITERALLY stealing from people that we all personally know...you are stealing from the filmers, producers, athletes and photographers that make this industry what it is today - most of these people don't make very much money at all and for you to take away from them is just completely wrong. I know you're thinking "oh, it's only one person downloading one movie" or "it's only $20" but damn, these people work hard for that money and deserve EVERY PENNIE if not MORE!

you just assume alot/were waiting for the chance to nuthug level 1 on here...and pretty much every post I have seen from you in the past 3 months ends with "go kill yourself". Really? Cant come up with anything new except "your stupid" & "kill yourself"?
 
From companies that have made the CHOICE to be gracious enough to give you their movie for free, and people support them by going out and buying their products.

And, if you're talking about the older movies on youtube (like Teddy Bear Crisis and what-not) that's not as big a deal cause they are older, iconic films that are no longer available for purchase - you know how many people would to this day buy TBC if Kris decided to put it up for sale again? I know I would - and I already have it.

just putting this out there...

material/segments from last years movies are posted here regularly(refresh etc). I appreciate every dam minute of it...but can just add more fire to this thread

 
I'm making a movie this year for my local shop with it's sponsored athletes, and I'm putting out there for free...I think I know what's up. There are SEVERAL really good independent films being put out this year for no cost.

And, yes, segments and clips get put on here all the time...but usually several months after the movie has been release and a lot of the time, the production company themselves allow them to get put out there (PBP just released Dane's complete part from EDIAS). But, that still doesn't make it right to download the ENTIRE film without paying for it...how can you still feel like it's ok to download a film without paying for it.
 
if you think about how much time and energy the athletes, film crew, and everyone else involved with the production of a ski movie puts into the actual ski movie, it shouldn't seem right to simply download all of that hard work with out supporting them. There wouldn't be ski movies if there weren't customers.

Can't really stop people from torrenting, but keep in mind what you are doing when you click the download button.
 
It's not right..totally agree with you there.

Its funny when anyone mentions torrents/ski movies on NS...people come at them with a noose/rant. Happens every year, changes nothing, and just about every movie this year will be torrented. Sucks, but enough with the fucking drama already
 
ok cool. i always support the industry i bought all the movies on itunes last year except refresh which i preordered. i just don't want to have dvds lying all over the place is why i ask.

sorry, that second part was in no way directed at you, I know you want to support them which buying off of itunes does help doing.
