Extreme Sport Psychology Study

Hi everyone,

I'm a final year student at the University of Liverpool, England, and I am

performing an online study on personality and sensation seeking behaviour in

extreme sport athletes. I am looking for male and female participants aged 18-29

and have English as their 1st language. The study is looking particularly at

gender differences so to all you female riders, please spare 10 mins of your

time! On completion of the questionnaire you will be given a psychological

analysis of both your personality and sensation seeking behavioural traits, so

if especially if you are looking to procrastinate, it doesn't take long and its

this is SO cool. Im taking an AP Psych course, and this touched on a number of the ideas and concepts that we mention in class. great idea, and I just sent it to my psych teachers. thanks for posting this.
 
i also thought it was pretty accurate, one the 2nd part i thought several questions shouldve had some more options but overal good study.
 
cool, im a psych major too. as much as im sick to death of personality psych and the five factor model i enjoyed taking the survey
 
Great survey.

However, it will have voluntary bias, which isn't that bad because, it is meant as a stratified survery in a sense.
 
wicked cool study!! good luck with it!! i was a psych major and did sports psych research...but we wernt allowed to do it online and i was so mad....your lucky you get to!!

everyone shouldn't be surprised by how it describes them, the personality traits that the questions lead to are pretty obvious.

Q: Do you make fun of people a lot?

A: NEGATIVE

Conclusion: you are acceptable of others!

OMG IT GOT ME PERFECTLY

Q: Do you need drugs or alcohol to have a good time?

A: NEGATIVE

Conclusion: you do not need drugs or alcohol to have a good time!

WOW IT GOT ME AGAIN!
 
Fairly accurate.

Though, I fucking hate the way it related me to 'illegal drug use and unprotected sex' as well as 'binge drinking'.

I am fucking against all 3 of those points, I have but never will again smoke pot, do not drink except very very rare occassions, and believe unprotected sex to be an absolute insult to my intelligence and personality.

Please sort out your evaluations, having studied Psych myself, i know that some of the examples used in this study and the evaluations are neither neccessary or relevant.
