so i'm pretty much a gapper when it comes to skiing and right now i have normal alpine ski boots and i dont have enough money to get a new pair.
So for the last few days the bottom part of my shins and some times my ankles have been extremly sore making me limp on the walk home. i do every thing i can to make my shins feel better but the next day it just hurts again. i've been skiing park all day, every day and have the right skis to do such.
my question is where is this pain coming from? leaning backwards, ruff landings, the boots fault, etc. pls help me out with this problem because it is quickly preventing me from skiing. k+ for any help

I think you got to find a boot, which fits you better. Park specific boots with better absorption for hard landings would be a great idea.

Hate to say this but it sounds like you need to take a day off and just relax. Maybe ice your legs all day. The point of skiing is to have fun. If your in that much pain take a day off. 6 days a week is still awesome!!!!

that happened to me so i took it to my bootfitter and he blew out the inner part of my boots by my ankle and then a bit on the side of my boot so its not painful anymore. your best bet is to go to your bootfitter and check out whats wrong.

take a day off and let yourself recover, then go and hit the park for the day and if the problems are recurring then go and see a boot fitter, to get new liners or boot

get sum dr.schols shoe inserts. i got like the softest one and my boot r comfy as hell. there like 20$ at walmart

I've had the same problem the last few years, it sucks so bad.... I went out to a boot fitter this season though and he recommended me a pair that would suit my feet and its been much better ever since. I'd recommend that, but if you're tight on moneys then either take a few days off or have a try adjusting your boot buckles a bit

1. Get a booster strap, a lot of people think they help.2. Stop landing/skiing backseat.
Long term solution- Go to the gym and get stronger legs, seems to be a panacea for shin bang.

Definitely recommend full tilts, but if you're low on money, I'd definitely recommend taking a day or two off, maybe more to completely get rid of it. I can tell you from experience that no matter what you do, the pain will eventually come back unless you make a full recovery, even with full tilts. Some ways to prevent it in the future would be to tighten your boots as much as possible and not land back seat. Believe me, don't "take it like a man" because that repetitive strain is the reason that I'm not skiing right now and have a potential shin fracture, though I hope not.

That sounds like shin splints. Look it up online, or search for info here. a member made a good thread about it a while back.

The boots could do it. Every time you land, you want them to absorb some of the shock. Not to compress against your legs. Try park specific boots such as full tilts. hope it helps!

bootfitter man, if you dont have the money to get a new pair they could at least help you with forming your current boots to fit you better.
