Extreme Bindings

i need some new bindings for my new invaders when they come in and i cant decide which ones to get. ive heard alot about the look p12 jib but it looks a little weak to me, i want to get the 4frnt bindings but before i spend that much money on bindings id like to know what other people think of the deadbolts and other types

hahaha "a little weak". Unless you're a gigantic person, you won't break them. Get Rossi Scratch 120s, or Look P12 Jibs.

Well I can assure you that the p12 jibs will stand up to whatever you can put them through in the park. I have them on my everyday skis and I've taken them out of the big couloir at Big Sky at well over 40mph with the DIN at 8 and they held.

Look bindings, weak? Thats about the most outragous thing I've ever heard. A lot of people use them, you see them posted all over for a reason, yet you'll never read a thread about how they broke when they shouldnt have.

Go with Look or Rossi, The P12 or 120 are all most people need. The P18 and equivalents are stellar bindings that'll last forever, but there are very very very few people that actually need them. And there's no difference between the P12 and the P12 Jib, so go with the cheaper one. Just cause it says Jib doesn't make it better or worse.

Buy my deadbolts, they're solid (as in durable) and dont weigh more than any other binding I've held. Only $160 for lightly used 614's...

deadbolts have the upward toe release option which is pretty sick, tyrolla x17 has a 150 degree rotating heelpiece, and the salomon z12 ti are the lightest/best binding on the market if you ask moi, px12 ti are strong amazing elasticity, tyrola mojo15 are solid bingings. im just tired of people jumping on the "only look/rossi bindings are good" bandwagon

rossi and look do have the virtue of a multi directional toe, unlike any other binding out there, along with a pissload of elasticity. They are quite durable. Not to mention if there ever is a problem, they have amazing warranties. no questions asked.

dude...if the p12 jibs seem weak to you with invaders,, don't gets invaders. the ski will break before you can flex it all the way.

I think that about 3 people above me said that either p12 is so good, or that it will withstand anything unless your huge...WRONG, if your going to get an axis or p get at least the 14...But if you want something thats Extreme go with the FKS, they are almost indistructable.

The biggest problem with the p14's or 12's is that either you blow a rivet piece, or snap/bend the brake...

This is all depending on how hard you ride and what kinda stuff you do..if your doing lots of switch stuff or landing switch..go with the fks for sure

if you need some extreme bindings i've got a pair of s920's if you want them. salomon binding din starts at 14 ends at 20

intersted send me a pm?

You should be able to find the FKS 185's for about $200 if you look around at all. For some reason it's harder to find the 155's for cheap though, which seems kind of weird.

thats a pretty stupid comment. deadbolts are same weight as looks and the deadbolt quality is so much better. i have 2 pairs and they are they best binding i have ever ridden.

You dont need more than p12s. I'm 6,1 160 lbs and I'm still rocking p10s. (with the din all the way up mind you)

Well, you're not that big, but either way, you're right, most people are fine with the din only going that high. And you shouldn't have your din cranked to the max, they perform better if theyre a couple notches back of max.

the line binding was a good idea. but its the worst binding ever, along with marker, and 4frnt bindings. get looks you wont be disappointed.

There are very few bindings worse than markers IMHO. I was conned into buying a pair before I really got into park skiing, and they are definately not what you want. Go with a pair of rossi's, I have them on my other ski's, and they work great.

only one person commented on the difference between the look px12, and the look px12 jib. anyone else have thoughts on the bindings?

well this was an unexpected bump...i bought a pair of px12's and i broke em about a month after i got them...yeah i hate look/rossi so i bought a pair of deadbolt 614's and have had 70+ days on them and it was tyhe best decision ive ever made.

if I remember corectly, the litle piece under the plate is supposed to aborb uimpacts on the jib.

that being said, it wont change a thing.
