just because they are 'frail' doesnt mean much. they have money coming out of their asses so they can do whatever needs to be done to keep themselves from being captured or killed, very easily. and hey for all we know they could be dead. and for all we know we could not even be trying to kill them and we are protecting them. i think its sorta strange how we just stopped looking for osama, and if we didnt stop the media doesnt keep us updated anymore, if you can even trust the media nowadays. i love how our constitution guarentees freedom of speech and press and the media is censored and controlled every day of the week when the news pertains to big events. strange huh?

You cant trust the media anymore, its gone to far, the media only shows you what it wants you to see... strikes ya full of fear. they pic the stories that are gruesome, sick, and scary. Big black guy kills his neighbour, instead of the white guy who kills his wife and children. you have notice how the media likes to make the blacks, and hispanics etc. stand out as dangerous, but if you look at some of the biggest crimes, its mostly white men, middle aged, Timmy Mcveigh... he was white wasnt he... yeah i think so. And, bush has blown Freedom of Speach right out of the water, it is said that if bush is pissed off at someone who criticizes them he would have them arrested for treason. Sorry to break it to you, but most presidents and politicians grow up in a comfy home situation. Granted most didn't have their father's as presidents, but money gets you into big politics. Do you realize how much money it takes to campaign. The average joe can't exactly go and do it. There are some means to financial support when running, but you can't compare it to any of the big canidates.

I do not think that our country's CIA funded the world trade center attacks. I understand that US Intelligence isn't all that it could be, in fact its just one giant mess, but I don't think they're at the point where they're actually funding terrorist attacks...they've got plenty of other places to spend their money.

However, identifying the problems of the US Intelligence as it is, is definitely one of the stronger points you've made. It's a mess, it's just one big mess. As the superpower that we are, its only reasonable that we would have the resources to build an intelligence force that works. Personally, a lot of our situation, not only in Iraq, but all over the world could have been greatly promoted in a more suitable manner had we better intelligence.

But you blame this on bush. It's not Bush's fault for the falling apart of the our Intelligence. The Clinton administration was no help to the slipping association. Many of what you blame Bush for, in terms of ' No weapons of mass destruction' and forged documents, is not directlly the fault of the Bush Administration. It goes deeper down, and further back. Bush's name can't just be attached to all of the problems...like someone said, it was congress who approved the war.

another point on the media. why do they never report any of the good things that happen? and if something good is reported its not very often. you always hear about murders, and rapes, and robberys, and other acts of violence. its either people in this country are infatuated with violence and the news programs know this to get higher ratings. or more violence then good is done in this country. either way its pretty sad.

and please, nobody say anything like well i saw something good on the news yesterday! cuz i know there are good things reported. a majority of the stories reported are violent crimes or scandals though.

The media doesn't report good news because everyone watches the bad news no matter what. Even if you hate the media and what they stand for, you obviously are still tuning in and receiving material to criticize. It's a business, they're making money even with the people who are unhappy w/ them.

 
the government sure as hell gives the media information to put out during times of crisis. like the 9-11 attacks, 'operation iraq freedom' and so on. the government tells the media to tell us what we want to hear, not what neads to be heard. and at times im sure the media tells u shit that isnt good and makes america look bad, only to make us look better when we 'overcome' this 'problem' that we had earlier. you see what im sayin? the media is the government's most manipulitive tool and should be trusted warily, especially the big name news channels like CNN.

You can't just say if you see more white than black murders. You have to look at the percentage of murders committed by blacks versus the percentage of murders committed by whites, and then compare the percent attention they receive. And actually... part of the problem with people's awareness about minorities is that SOO many of crimes and murders committed within the city receive almost NO media attention. Murder is a much bigger deal in the media when it's committed among the middle class, interracially, or any other kind of interesting situation that doesn't correspond with a certain groups stigma.

 
aw come on ryan, sure.. maybe some of it's racial descrimination. about 10 %.. MAX MAX MAX. There are still twice as many blacks/minorities in prision as white people. Hence the reason why you hear about twice as many crimes black/minorities commit. It all adds up.. Your trying to refute facts with what if's.. Some things you have to really look at it and just accept the fact that more minorities commit crimes and that is why you see more publicized.
