Experiences with shooting skiing og 7D (filming)

So I´m buying the 7d.Mainly because of the fact that if I was to get a good 35mm adapter with all necessary extras, it would've cost almost as much (I live in Norway and have to pay a shitload of taxes and customs), and now I can take photos as well witch is awesome considering I take media classes. Plus the format is handy. I´m currently looking at an IS 18-135 f3.5 lens btw.
Any thoughts?

I shot last year with the 5Dmk2 skiing. Did follow cam, tripod shots and everything went well. Just prefocus and shot.

the skiing isnt the greatest nor are the shots. these are all hand held and meh, alright.

This was the first thing I ever shot on the 7D, super rad camera, just make sure you have the correct support equipment (good tripod, maybe a shoulder mount and/or steadicam)

That was sick Trent! Also thinking this will be a good choice for me as I´ve just started getting some jobs making short films of different types.. Did you use a pocket dolly on some of those shots?

saw that video awhile ago, still amazing. what did you do the color grading with? and the dolly shots, what was that done with?

I made a slider that I use a ton, I also have a dolly I made but dont use that as much. Link to how to make the slider: http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?t=145701
As for color grading I just used Apple's Color on that one. Sometimes I use magic bullet looks but not on that video.

Huh, I think I just called them and ordered it, I cant remember what the part number was though, I thought I just used the one off that thread. Try calling them and asking if they have anything under that product number.
