I used them all last season. They did fix the issues with the originals years ago.
Honestly I think they are great. 6cm makes a big difference in the way a ski rides. Powder to park.
Keep a small screwdriver on you. Literally takes 1 minute to pop them off and move them. Or at lunch or something I'd you want to switch where you ski on the mountain in the afternoon. I did on mine a lot, because I like to ski "all mountain".
And the way they are designed is pretty sturdy IMO. The track system is basically the same as the heel piece on the regular griffons, just on front and back. The cable is not going to snap either.
Mine haven't moved once, and I weigh like 190, and ski hard. So IMO people just bash because they dislike marker and have some skewed opinions based on the first version.
Weight- they are kind of heavy, about the same as fks 180s. But the difference between the weights if most bindings really don't do much at all. We are talking ounces here, directly under foot almost.
Only bad thing is price. I picked up mine for $170 though, so worth it for me. Not many deals like that around though
