I can not believe that a place like Vail and Beaver Creek charges $81 / day plus they nail you $25 to park for the day. Now you wonder why the ski industry is not booming....

In Vail you pay about 1.5 cents per acre of skiing. In michigan you pay about 20. Thats about 13 times as expensive. So when you guys ski out west remember that at least you have more than 5 runs to ski.

$63 if you buy em at the 7-11 in squamish or from a Haggens grociery store around here in WA.

dont tell the tourists.

but im happy with my $50 season pass to baker. (my daddy works up there sometimes)

man its sad that place's like whistler and vail are charging 74 and 81 doller ticks, for a single day, and then people wounder why more people dont come out to ski or board, if this keeps up they shall price them selfs right out of the market

Park City is like 75$ and I don't get how people actually pay the full price when there is better skiing at the other resorts like 10 minutes away for cheaper. And I am talking about people who don't ski park.

Good point. It is hard for us to fathom, because we go to a mountain for the terrain, snow and lack of crowds.

There is a whole different market of skiers that value a resort based on amenities like shopping, lodging and mountain status. These are the same people who complain when there is powder on a run because they think it should be groomed. I don't understand it, but I've seen enough of them to know it is out there.

bald mountain, idaho. It's really small with a t-bar and rope tow, but it's fun because we can build jumps all over. lots of pow, but basically no park
